A great little hotel, I remember in 1986/87 a pint of Lion lager cost 50c, half a rand! In 2018 the lads working at the bar couldn't believe it when I told them this.

Pretty sparse... Was debating using some of my $200 Delta credit to go in here instead of the Centurion Lounge (flying AA) but it doesn't look to be worth it. The Centurion Lounge was busy but the food was great.

I have to agree there wasn’t much to do at night. It’s geared towards individuals who want to relax. I had to go away from the property. There are 3 bars on the Adults only side.

Hi, other than the alcohol, is there another particular reason to upgrade to Level? Also, on the website for a reservation of 4 nights it says it also includes "4x Spa Service Coupon". I would be staying with my husband. Would it be 1 spa service per day per person, or just those 4 service coupon? Also what does that include, do i have to pay anything adittional if i just want massages?

It was well worth it! The property is very well maintained and everything looks just as advertised. The food was very good but the drinks aren’t anything to write home about. If you’d like access to all the restaurants on the property you’ll probably need to upgrade to ‘LEVEL’.

This is a very nice resort. Grounds and beach are gorgeous, food is good but not great drinks are mediocre at best. If you don't get the level upgrade its all no name local liquor and if you don't ask for doubles you can't even tell if there is liquor in them or not. If you get the level upgrade you do get brand name liquor in the lounge (but it often runs out) and the quimera level only bar does have brand name liquor. Rooms are nice enough but getting tired for sure. Arial footage in this video is NOT the Melia resort but rest assured the grounds/beach are absolutely gorgeous

Hey! The weather was very warm in February when I went, not too hot. A little windy I have to say but the tide wasn’t too bad. I have to agree with the latter, the rooms need a lot of upgrading though they were very clean.

Loved this time period when Tuku still had a keyboardist in his ensemble. His more Mellow tunes came out more jazzy and smooth during his live act. RIP Big Dhara
