using a router would've sped up the outside wood removal

Thank you! Can you please tell me how to refinish a wooden window if there’s wood that needs to be repaired? The bottom of my wood window had finish peeling off and when I scraped it I made a mistake and took some wood too 😩

Your work of art is so impressive! How did you manage to keep the flowers and leaves so vibrant? When I dry mine they become brownish...?

Why polyacrylic and not polyurethane? Does it have uv inhibitors?
@brettaddis99849 ай бұрын
I was wondering that, too. Is it just clean up and dry time? If you ever use these windows you’re going to want more water resistance.

How long did it take you just for the sanding and cleaning with the razor blade? And why didn't you use something like an electric detail sander?

THANK YOU, life saver, thank you for this, genius. I’m hoping to do the same; nice to know there are other like-minded folks. And I laughed when you laughed too. Think you are beautiful, love your sweater with scarf. May Jesus bless you and your household. Thank you 😊

It will help your students, like me, if you will list the bits/burrs that you find most useful and dependable. For example, what is the very fine point bit used during this video? Thanks

Hi. I have just started doing this after I retired. It is a hobby and to make gifts. My problem is getting the depth the same all over. I have a Dremel Stylo and an Apex Forge with the shaft which I use as the tool itself it really too big. What suggestions do you have to be able to get the same depths?

On such a large project, you should be using a router, even a small "palm" router, like the DeWalt 611. However, your Craftsman clone of a Dremel could probably use the router attachment that Dremel sells - less strain on your hand, easier to work with.

"Little" template?????? It's humongous!! "...on my Dremel..." um, no lady, you're not using a Dremel, you're using a Craftsman. They're both rotary tools, but different brands. "Band-Aid' is a brand name for bandage, "Kleenex" is a brand name for tissues, etc., etc.

My bathroom window has some small black spots on the window that don’t seem to be removing when I sand them. Should I keep sanding or just stain over them and hope they don’t show through? Or should I wipe it down with a bleach water?
@sashaskapar23242 жыл бұрын
I think that is caused by moisture getting deep down into the wood. Unfortunately it will probably show through with light to medium stains. I would consider using a dark gel stain, as they are thicker and may cover the spots. Hope that helps.

Hello greetings from Moose Jaw in Saskatchewan Canada I love your work and your Video. Non slip mat I can tell you is that mat what you can use for backing where you make your bread dough on. I think it calls Aprince it has a kind of a bullseye in the middle. Very sticky mat works awesome. You did a good job. 👍

A dremel flexi extension would be helpful for precision and grip also the tool like to go in one direction. Wear ear protection and eye protection and a decent mask some woods are toxic.
