My sister-in-law used to do wedding cakes. She made her icing out of Crisco, powdered sugar, and a touch of vanilla extract. Lol this was back when decorators made simple icing flowers and there was a bride and groom figurine on the top layer of cake.

If you keep turning the pastry a quarter turn and only roll in one direction (forwards) you get a circular shape and less waste from trimming.

Butter pie crust WILL catch your oven on fire 🔥 how do I know? Because I make this pie crust every year. WARNING DO NOT WALK AWAY FROM YOUR OVEN. HAVE FIRE EXTINGUISHER NEAR BY, seriously folks. On another note; this crust collapses if you don't have filling in it. If you're trying to make a custard pie where you need to prebake the crust, this isn't the one to use.
