These two people are a treasure. I am so happy that they are following in Conway and Loretta' musical pathway. I love them.

Let go and let God is what we tell addicts in our Church Addiction Ministry. When I was a baby, my dad got mad because I wouldn't stop crying and took me from the crib, smashing my head on the wooden floor at Grandpa's Farm. Grandpa went after him with a pitchfork and I grew up with a different name. It wasn't until we were doing our Family History in High School my Senior Year, my Grandma told Mom she needed to tell me what my real name was, since she had remarried and I was using his last name. Plus, I was going to join the Marines and my birth certificate would reveal my last name. Before I left for Boot Camp at age 17, I got to meet my Dad, but, I didn't ask him anything about involving why he left or the abuse. My children did get to meet him once, but, he had dementia and that was the last time I saw my dad. I missed so much of my REAL family that Genealogy and DNA Tests can't satisfy. Years later, I suffered two seizures, and after telling my Neurologist about what happened to me as a baby, she said that probably caused them, and something on my job triggered them, which we thought was nitrogen, since I was working Security at a Chemical Plant. Twice I woke up, once in an ambulance, the other on the bathroom floor. Medication does help, but, now, I can't be around diesel fumes from any type of trucks because I start feeling nauseous. I had to resign recently because of this. I had 3 addictions, God has removed 2, nicotine is the last one, but, I am smoking less. Germany cured me of alcohol immediately because I was sick in bed for 3 days after drinking theirs with Schnapps in the same night. Not a fun time when you can't remember anything about a country you were stationed in for 2 weeks, quit cold turkey!

Emmy Russell was recently on American Idol! She covered coal miner’s daughter in such a beautiful way with her piano playing! I’ve never heard it done like that before. She made it her own. I’m glad Loretta’s grandkids are keeping her music alive. She’s smiling down on them.

According to my son who is an addict, you literally are working for the drug of choice. Addiction is a mean animal. It shows no mercy. Most people don't understand it. As a mother , I have seen everything that goes with addiction. Even having to call 911 on my son because I thought he was over dosing. I'm even an RN and it scares the hell out of me. My son has known several who have died from opiates. That is a mother's worst fear. I'm so happy that you have been healed by God. I keep praying that one day my son will as well. Thanks for sharing your story because you are helping people by just being honest.

So great that you shared how your life as went. Being part of loretta family people tend to put those celebs in different place. We think those with fame and fortune do not go thru what the others do . I think it helps to hear what you went thru and what got you to where you are today. Love your voice. Very powerful. It's great to see you and Conway's grandson keeping Loretta and Conway's legacy going.
