Like someone else asked about 7 months ago, I wonder if this method affects the drape of the blanket. Doen't it make it more rigid?

This is great, do you find that it increases the yarn requirements by very much? I will be using this for all my mosaic projects in the future.💖

Hi, thanks! It really doesn't use much more yarn than usual. I just finished a piece that calls for 200 yards and I used about 215 maybe.

I do a locking stitch to eliminate the pockets so I cant do the negative stitch right? I need the pockets to do the negative stitch correct?
@SpanishCloverCrochet
@SpanishCloverCrochet 2 жыл бұрын
You'd have to do one, or the other. This negative stitch also eliminates the pockets, so if you have used a different technique already in the piece you're crocheting, then you can't go back and use this one on top of it.

Also what kind of yarn you use. I bought a bunch of colors in 2 brands and they don't look as good as yours. Redheart is one and I'll never use that brand again.
@SpanishCloverCrochet
@SpanishCloverCrochet 2 жыл бұрын
I use all different brands of yarn- my favorite is discounted yarn! Retro stripe in redheart wasn't too bad, but I think most of redheart is a bit scratchy. Sometimes, BigTwist from Joann's can be scratchy, too, but mostly, I love big twist for the price. I just got in some yarn from Hobbii and have to say I love it. I tried the megaball, which if you can find them on sale for 9.50 or less, is a better deal than big twist when Joann's puts it on sale. Twister by Hobbii is a dream, but also really expensive if not on sale. I think the pieces in this video included these brands: Lion Brand (cakes and mandala), Big Twist, Red Heart, I Love This Yarn, Metallico, and various yarns that were clearanced at Hobby Lobby.

@@SpanishCloverCrochet I hated red heart supersaver but It was on sale at my joann's I was feeling it again and it seems to feel softer. I love mainstay walmart. Rand but then again I just grab what I like the feeling and the color. oh and Caron one pound I think it's called. I got big twist it was on sale as I'm not a fan.. really it depends on what project too I guess. I have been wanting to try that from hobbi. well I have a cart full. hard for me when I csn touch it. lol
