Back in the day there was an interview with Metal Urbain in Search and Destroy magazine. I was able to find the album on import here in the US. Brilliant!!! I got my old French dictionary and tried to translate every song.

The Academy was originally the Apollo Theatre. Since torn down but some elements were saved. This show benefited Bagosian? Or was it Bagosian doing a benefit for the so-called “NEA Four?” Red Kross and Cell were opening acts. 10:03

I remember seeing Gene Pool’s grass car in the documentary Wild Wheels when it was out in theaters in the early 90’s. His beer can suit is another classic.

I heard Helium around 94 when a friend of mine from Maryland made me a cassette of Pirate Prude.. It fit right in with the bands i was jamming at the time.. Pavement, Sonic Youth and Flaming Lips.. Rest easy , David .

nirvana played the same night in the "Vooruit" . I chose this one, which I will never forget. The next day slayer got 5stars review in the newspaper, nirvana only 2. hihi , I made the right choice. 30 years later the Nirvana concert was the most legendary of the 2 :(

Incredibly, part of this song was used on the soundtrack of a 1978 college movie, Almost Summer. Well, up to the "pencils" line anyway. I also heard the first part of the song on a London radio station in the late seventies.

my insrumental are licensed for growing grass and walking around. you can use them to relax. Also besides rapping and producing really good music Im prettty good at segue word combinations and you was at my house house in Tulsa we, were a medical doctor household and for some reason allowed hippies my rap album is all about the weird story of a trip from lawrence to colorado, the dub scientist did the qudraphonic engineering, he is my best guy for loud speakers, electrical schematics and sound design, search STSRWPSUSU and you can near it. whats up to gene from professor leslie anad her boys ben and matthew.

This is good stuff! I'm from michigan, grew up in Warren, I think I saw the name but I never heard the band. Did you guys do many gigs on the east side of the state? Of course in 91 I just went off to the Army so my chances of seeing them would have been Limited.

An attached memory: Back in the sixties, the dime stores had a bin of failed 45 rpm records. One time, for the heck of it, my Mom brought a few platters home for me. I was nine or ten at the time. My Name is David, so quite naturally, my Mom picked up "Davie was a Bad Boy." It struck me as dark, sad, and corny. I still have that record, and I have never forgotten it.
