So i personally liked Legacy of Goku 1 as a kid. Necause you have to understand. There was not many if any Dragonball z games for any console at the time. So for the sheer production if this gsme, the fact a Dragonball z game came out at all, was a big deal for fans. So the overlook of some poor gameplay or lazy work on the game at all was just because we had nothing else. Which made LOG2 mean so much more...

Erlang was the hardest boss 1st playthrough. On NG+ and beyond the hardest boss to me was great sage’s broken shell.

When I was a kid I used to beat frieza just to watch that bad ass final cutscene in the first Legacy of Goku. Y’all are spoiled now with being able to watch KZbin videos or stream the whole show on crunchy roll. Back then if you weren’t watching DBZ at 5 pm on toonami, or had rich parents who bought you the VHS, you were feening for anything at all. For me, this pixelated mess of a cutscene was fucking legendary.

Just got the trilogy for my switch and got really hyped. I never played the first game and after 2 hours i'm not sure if i'm gonna continue. I used to play storm 4 on my xbox a few years ago and i didn't thought that it would be such a big difference. The fact that you just can't straight up play the missions, or that you must finesse every requirement freaks me out. I rarely play, cuz of lack of time so i don't wanns waste my time on side missions or repeat one level over and over again. And after watching your video i'm even more upset about the fact that Haku and Zabuza aren't playable. I love Naruto but the game is pure trash. Good video btw!

I'm taiwanese. One thing non-chinese speaking players might not realize is how deeply Buddhism and Taoism is weaved into the story. I didn't expect the developers to pay any attention to the philosophy of journey to the west. The english translation is good, but it's very hard to translate the subtle cultural and philosophical aspects.

If you thought your first play through was hard? Just wait until you get to game plus 4. The boss and enemy hit a bit hard and can one or two shot you. So if you want a better challenge, get to new game plus 4. Boss have more health bar and now you must focus on a good build.

I completely forgot about these games. This video just made me feel so much nostalgia. Its close but I think my favorite was the second game. The first one was so hard, I thought I was just bad at the game lol. I will have to go back and play the second and third game again at some point.

legacy of goku 2 is the best in the series. Buu's fury was easy mode.

I'm glad so many people got a lot out of this game and considering how linear it is I've been surprised with how different my experience has been to other players, especially in terms of the which bosses stumped players. Saying the sidequests aren't truly memorable while showing the ch.3 fox quest is wild to me though, I was straight up in tears from that one. Didn't expect to meet the fox from the stop motion animation as a murdered and skinned scarf, and then the absolute denial and shamelessness when you confront the killer on their behalf made me feel so deeply. Hilariously that quest made my ch.3 very odd, when I got the fox brush and was asked to seek out some temple I just ran past enemies as the fox to try and find the next part of the quest and ended up accidentally triggering the final boss fight, then made it all the way to the checkpoint without dying so I basically skipped like 50% of the level and went back into it after knowing the story and it changed my interpretation of parts of it. Very cool. Ch 2 & 3 were my faves but there's plenty to love in the others

I feel like it deserved GOTY just for being a game. No season pass, not broken on release, no tacked on multiplier or microtransactions. They said they will make a dope game where you beat up chinese demons as a monkey and delivered. Its not more or less, its finally just a damn good product. This is what the industry needs.

Playing it now and its not for me man. Not really enjoying the gaming experience. Too much running around the map, i feel like im not making any real progress with all these mission ranks and then the story missions that i cant do until i do the ranked missions 👎🏾
