My first Van Halen concert was November 9th 1978 at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium. Van Halen was supposed to open for Black Sabbath but Ozzy was missing in action and didn't show up. Van Halen performed anyway and tore the house down. It was one of the best concerts of my young life and I remember it vividly to this day.
