A thought that I just had: I don't really get unsettled by the credits of Spongebob EXCEPT for when it's a VHS. With a DVD, you at least get a fun menu to bring the mood back. With that knowledge, I welcome the credits. But on a VHS all you're left with is a blank screen and the tape running out. That feels different to me, and it is a bit of a strange emotion.
