If they had a picture profile like sony’s S-cinetone and a the lens the advertised with it was actually good I’d get it

That's a good point actually, their Natural profile is really good, I don't know if the S9 has it but Sony's S-Cinitone is the next level

the price is a problem: the difference between the Lumix S5II in the sale is €9 (nine euro)
@VisionRays3 ай бұрын
Unbelievable, that makes it almost impossible to justify buying the S9 for many people, and the GH7 is a few hundred more as well, and the GH7 is a beast of a camera, thanks for being here

Honestly there seems to be a lot of hate for this because everyone thinks they are a professional, and I think photo/video content does a good job of making everyone feel GAS. Like they need the latest and greatest. People have been doing amazing things with less than this camera. I think this camera is amazing for my needs. In both video and photo. I dont need a hot shoe, or the evf. As an adventure content creator, currently cycling from Canada to Argentina with my dog. I need small and light, with great video specs. With some of the best ibis in the business. Pair this with the 28-200, the pancake 26mm, and the 24 1.8. I have an incredibly light and versatile camera. That all fits into a small bag on my bike. What fullframe camera competes with this? Also good job on the video.
@VisionRays3 ай бұрын
@thelonelyroad I really appreciate your comment, that's exactly what I am talking about and this is what I meant when I said it packs a serious punch, this camera is great for you and me who want to shoot stable FF footage on the go with all its perks, low light capability is one of them without the need to carry a gimbal. I am following your journey now. Thanks again and welcome.

I don't see a use for the S9. I own two S1R cameras, but I don' have anyone's idea of a completer set of lenses for it. I also own several Lumix G series cameras. If I wanted the capabilities of the S9, I'd look at micro four thirds.. G9 II perhaps. Unlike the S9 it has an actual hotshoe. I am a TAFE student doing an advanced diploma of photography. The diploma course includes flash photography, something this camera doesn't do.
@VisionRays3 ай бұрын
You made valid points, and I appreciate your opinion. I agree that this camera is not appealing for photography, but it has its place for video as a very good full-frame B camera. Coming from the GH5, the G9 II is indeed a great camera. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

The going price for GH5 's make me hold on to mine. They are still competitive with today's 📸's. I have a 60D as well I enjoy it for photos. My next 📸 more than likely will be a cinema 📸.
@VisionRays4 ай бұрын
Abslulotly competitive with today's cameras, I used it with Sony A7IV as a B camera thinking I needed to work a lot in post to match them, not really, the image quality was on par. and yess the 60D still shoots amazing photos, thanks for sharing your thoughts on this man.

Whilst it's an older camera, second hand, bang for buck is amazing. I still have my three and two G7s and use them on client work and they are always super happy. I dont think I could part with them.even if I move on as they represented a valued leap forward for me, that had actual client benefits, like the dual SD card and being able to dual record for back ups.
@orinorio14 ай бұрын
@@DatrysiadMedia yeah. The GH5 second had is now going for what the G7 was when it first came out. What I enjoy about Lumix cameras is how it makes you learn how to film. Using MF etc. Never liked the Sony cameras just felt too vloggy. Always kept in my the narrative of when Im doing client work its not for a Videographer but for someone who has no idea luts or v log is. They just want a nice clean video.

@VisionRays10 ай бұрын
The GH4 is a solid camera, was a game changer when it first came out and is still amazing today. I have never used the GH6 but being the better version of the GH5 I can tell you that you can not go wrong with it. the lens was the Sigma 18-35 (very common lens) with a Viltrox speed booster, a great lens with the GH5, it makes it perform better in low light and has a unique look. Thanks.
