Shit happens! I hate electrics too. Glad you limited the damage because us builders have probably all been there! Good luck with sorting it out and I for one will be very interested in what caused it. Cheers from UK

Oh man, don't do triple Webers...I had some on my '71 Z, and they wouldn't stay in tune because of the looong linkage for them. I threw the stock SU carbs on, and had zero problems with them. I wish I still had my '71, it was an awesome car.

Nice truck! I have a 79 King Cab I'm rebuilding. It's a retirement project for me. It has a Weber carb on it now but I like the look of the two side drafts. How do you like them now that you've had some time with them?

Nice truck in good condition. I bought one new in 78 and a year later I moved from the east coast to Alaska in it. It hated starting in the real cold weather even with heaters. Other than that I love it. Oh I drove from the east coast to Alaska in five days doing over 80 much of it. I had a CB and truckers would warn me of any smokies.

Please don't go putting those ugly wagon wheels and thin tires on this truck. It looks beautiful looking just the way it is. Sand down the truck, prime it, spray paint the whole underside floorboards frame and chassis and underside of the bed, then get her ready to spray paint the rest of the truck a nice color.
