Huntanor, the Vardos series has been really good, but it feels like it's reaching its final stage. Thank you for the series, and if I may suggest, the next one could take place in the Byzantine Empire to explore how administrative empires work. That would be really cool

Great video. You should order the Muslim vassal to convert, if it is not a reason to take his lands, you are arbitrary
@cadr00318 сағат бұрын
Would that make sense RP-wise though? Most of the people he's known growing up were Muslim (his mother was too, no?)
@Huntanor18 сағат бұрын
He's cynical and gregarious. I don't think he considers religion at all when deciding how to treat people, he's as likely to screw over a christian vassel he dislike as a muslim one.

Hey small thing, you should check on revoke holy order lease just to see if one of your new territories has a holy order from another faith
@Huntanor18 сағат бұрын
I'll check. Edit: I'm uncertain he would throw them out, he's a cynical guy who grew up in a 60% Muslim camp. But if they enter a war against him then he would for sure disappear them.

I’m liking this mod. I haven’t watched your other playthrough of it yet, but I will. As a history nerd, it’s odd to watch a CK3 playthrough without knowing the religions, cultures and general arc of the world. I kind of like learning this part of the mod’s world. ETA: I had not realized this was a continuation of the prior playthrough. Cool!

It's not, it like a reimagining. The original play through died by update early on. The mod updated so I restarted the same character in a custom scenario.

The "new" Valencian Kingdom is gonna be awesome! Have you already thought about what option will be more appropriate to end the Struggle?
@Huntanor3 күн бұрын
If I can pull it off conciliation. I'm hoping to fix de jure, then clean up the south. Then my diplomat son will hopefully rebuild the relations with my neighbours, and we can end it. Conciliation allows to take caravanariees anywhere in Iberia and they are really good. Dyaspora, let's you build two at once. They are better then many of the other building so if the game was to continue, I'd over build them on any lesser econ buildings like hillside farms and hunting grounds.

A single successful struggle clash against Castile would do so much to expand the kingdom and fix the bordergore in the area. It’ll be so satisfying. I don’t know when you plan to go to war with Castile, but I’m excited for it

Poor Udalard has quite the mess to clean up. I think Udalard is going to have to betroth his children soon, either to an ally powerful enough, close enough to challenge Castile. Or he could “play the long game” and ally with Castile. Either way succession needs reforming, and the loyalty of vassals secured.
@Huntanor6 күн бұрын
We can get it done. The territory I hold is exceedingly strong from the first pass. Once the control is all cleaned up, things will look better. Still alliances in the north would be helpful. We can negotiate the Holy Roman Empire alliance back as that our sister.

@JudgeMagikarp8 күн бұрын
I still think that moving to Crimea and make the Bosphorus Kingdom and perhaps restoring the Byzantine Empire should be a much better choice. A new season searching the greek origins of the Bard.
@Huntanor8 күн бұрын
I only fear that it will be too long. I have only 2 or three generations before the end date left. It will take me 20-30 years to get stable, 20-30 years to form a kingdom, and then the remaining time will be for empire formation. It would suck to run out of years in the middle of it. And I'm not interested in extending the end date. This is already going to be my longest series by double almost if we count starting from Demi.

Truly hope for the iberian struggle, it would come full circle
@Kodanikage8 күн бұрын
The Iberian mess should be addressed. Frankly it took only a few generations to fall apart, even though you put so much effort into it. As opposed to Kyiv, which despite the many problems, managed a solid foothold. Plus it’s apropos that while the father avenged the theft of his and his brother’s birthright, his children, nieces, and nephews whom were born in “exile”, have to somehow clean up the mess he left behind, and stabilize the region.

I feel your pain here because I’m torn on what I want to see next. Like, I know this is impossible but it would be so cool to be able to alternate between characters and watch both boys follow their dreams. Their correspondence could tie the two stories together. But that’s thinking like a writer, not someone who has to work within the framework of the game. In the current circumstances, I’d go for staying in Valencia and tidying all that up, especially if you happen to be planning on exploring the whole new Byzantine administrative system in a separate series. Also, narratively, Valencia makes more sense as a finale because it’s been in the story since the first character. But hey what do I know? I voted against Bernat and yet, I’ve really enjoyed his story. I’m sad to see our amiable, scholarly adventurer, with the incredible ‘stache , reach his end. Thanks for his story!

Sometimes I wonder how things would be if I played one of the others. Most of the got tragic endings in Bernats Tale, Aleandr lost everything, Yesley is landless and fallen into obscurity. And the countess, as far as I can tell, is just gone.
@obamabiden8 күн бұрын
it would be nice to see udalard restore order in Iberia, Valencia back when you were playing as the kings was probably the most interesting player in the struggle with their generally open-minded approach

its been such an amazing series im honestly fine with either ways of continuation, the only thing i want to happen is for you to clean up the border gore a bit,i would say just use a mod so granada is made a part of valencia or something becouse it just looks dumb

I feel like Iberia is such a mess right now. It would be nice to see you clean it up and restore Valencia to a position of strength. Greece would be interesting, but leaving Iberia now would feel like abandoning Valenica when its position is still relatively poor. In my opinion, you should finish the series by giving Valencia the best possible position you can
@andrewcather89498 күн бұрын
I feel like uniting Iberia would be a fitting end.
@igorvelasco60438 күн бұрын
Great video. Personally, I believe that ending the Iberian fight is the best option with the years still possible in the game. The problem with the option of trying to fix the mess that Emperio Bizantino is in is that you won't have enough time, which can leave that feeling of unfinished business.

While it is tragic that theres been so much death for Bernat lately. To keep himself from it, for no sake other than his young children. I feel you should find a mother for them and wife for Bernat. Perhaps an infertile witch with physician training, she wouldnt effect inheritance if nothing else. If possible it would be cool to see a hunt in the Legendary Hunting Grounds. Congrats on the tourney success, looking forward to next episode 🤙🏿🍻
