If you have problems with elbow or something else don't play tennis. That is very simple. The pros do that because of money. The recreational players because of fun or lack of information about risks. But the problem ist the same. If it pains don't do it again. The sellers want to sell the rackets. The trainers want it also.

It's absurd to claim Jannick to be better when he hasn't reached a fraction of Nole's achievements. When he gets to 24 slams, 428 weeks as number 1, during an era of intense competition with two 20+ slam winners then he would only be at the same level still. Until then, Novak is levels above Sinner.
@davidesantonastaso566
@davidesantonastaso566 Ай бұрын
Using achievements when comparing them is just stupid, of course a 37 years old champion has more titles than a 23 years old player at his first time as number one. When people talk about them it's about the way they play and win matches. Also, Sinner definitely has the potential to match Novak's numbers: keeping this year's level means winning an average of 2 slams per year (sometimes it will be 1, others he could take all 4, just like Novak), which means reaching the same 24 slams at the age of 34, leaving space for even more trophies. I'm not saying it will happen, but nobody is, we can't predict the future, but we can definitely say that POTENTIALLY Sinner can be greater than Novak.
@shiftt.
@shiftt. Ай бұрын
@@davidesantonastaso566 Already declaring a player like Sinner to be potentially better than Djokovic is disrespectful, there is no comparison to be made until he reaches even close to his achievements. Novak is way above Sinner, last year he defeated him by a 16 years age difference and people think they are remotely close. Sinner will suffer from the same media hype that happened with Alcaraz, claiming he's better than the Big 3 already, the new GOAT, etc. Until he loses to Zandschulps in three sets, to 37 y/o Djokovic and falls behind Zverev on the rankings.

Alcaraz is 21. I have no doubt he will find a more consistent aggressive level. He still needs a little bit of time. He has yet to find that sweet middle ground of the right shot selection throughout a whole match. He has won 4 slams with some ups and downs during matches. He will never be Sinner because his unforced error count will always be a little higher. Even if he can brings it down like 10 %, it will make him more of a threat. He creates during the matches and is absolutely thrilling to watch because he is a magician. Sinner can’t always rely on his strategic game plan against him because Alcaraz will improvise and go off script in their matches. Sinner is by far the best power baseliner who doesn’t let his opponents breath. Alcaraz is working on the serve and adding more mph to his backhand but he hasn’t found that sweet spot yet. He still beat him 3 times this year, yes on slower surfaces, but at their best, Alcaraz is better. Alcaraz just hasn’t been at his best through a whole match or across multiple tournaments yet. I can’t wait for 2025 because it’s going to be a joy to watch these two.

I came here to say that we can see the comparisons but they differ in some crucial aspects (as a viewer and someone who loves tennis): Sinner actually plays to dominate his opponent with a big serve+1, going for more winners and is an aggressive baseliner whereas Djokovic most of his career was a counterpuncher, playing the patient game. Also, what is way more attractive is that Sinner doesn't bounce the ball 16 times before each serve, doesn't cuss out his own box all the time. So he plays to dominate, win points, does it silently and fast. Their match times are telling. In that sense Sinner is more like Federer than Djokovic.

While Novak has certainly made a name for himself, he hasn't quite achieved the same level of exceptionalism that Jannik demonstrates at such a young age, particularly when we look back at Novak's 22 or 23-year-old self. What truly sets Jannik apart is not just his remarkable talent but also his admirable character. He consistently shows respect to his opponents, the umpires, and the audience alike. One of the most striking things about him is his unique set of trademarks that define him, making his presence both on and off the court truly distinct. Ultimately, only time will tell.
