vid may be 3 years old but stores and poducts are still avaieble. for the chedarcheese that was mentioned since UK is closer to switzerland than usa its often sold the UK chedar version but bigger stores also have the orange chedar cheese. Denner Discount stores have a small varaiety of products you never will find a denner the size of a medium sized migros or coop since their products are very limited and as beeing a discounter which refers to have cheap prices compaired to other stores origin from switzerland. on the prices on meat it depends largely on qualety denner often sells cheaper qualetys however its still superior to other eu countrys. for the packageing even if you dont see the type of animal the meat comes from at the front sticker it is always listed on the back in detail. in general meat is in redish or blueish packages while chicken is in yellow packages to simplyfy the search especaly if your religion doesnt allow certain types of meats. Besideds denner and other discounters ripping off packages and only tke out 1 or 2 is rude and nothing you should do. discounters are therefore diffrent. in coop or migros you should leave the products packageings intact. cause not every item is sold single as well.

I am being courted by a Basel Firm. It is a 3 year contract. I am very excited but kinda scared. I have traveled extensively but first expat situation. I am considering to NOT have a car only rent occasionally on the weekends. I am wondering how hard it is to take public transpo over here to do the shopping, brining big backpack and bags. (I am an avid HOME cook, so yeah, let's get more variety for less $$!)...Any clues? Wow. Then the next video was the American lady on public transpo with the big suitcase. Good info, thanks!

I think its not all expensive because (i think) you recieve a good salary like 4000chf?? for month and pay like 40cfh for kg of meat,in my country the minimum salary is 1100 and the meat kg is 60🥴

Paper bills? But who will think about our planet? :) I thought they are completely paranoid about nature in Switzerland. I live in a third world country and we receive bills by email.

Great thing to do on the first sight, if you think about it a bit longer, it is not fair. From time to time going to shop in Germany, France or Italy is normal and many do so. But doing it all the time while enyoing a high swiss salary is a selfish practice. I think anyone who lives and earns their money in Switzerland should also spend it there.

I follow you. But hey... Germans on the polish and czech border are doing the same and go shopping in Poland in the Czech Republic.

The Switzer shopping tourism is one of the biggest problem for German people living near the boarder. Don't courage people to do it.
@torbenjohansen69553 жыл бұрын
also one of the reasons you have so many shop's there. they spend a lot of money in germany. yes they get the sales tax back. But thats still a lot of money they stuff in to the local econemy along the border. guess the people working in the stores don't live along the border.

@@torbenjohansen6955 Why do they get the sales tax back? In Norway, a lot of people go to shop in Sweden because it's much cheaper there. Still, nobody gets their sales tax back.

The meat in Coop is a little bit more expensive, because it has quality!so in my opinion you shouldn’t buy cheap meat (animal suffering)
