Nice build. I was wondering what your thoughts are on having air-con for summer camping while at a campground with ac power available?
@rambling4x4adventures922 ай бұрын
OK I thought over my ideas on an air conditioner. I was that OK4wd a couple weeks ago and saw the unit called zero breeze mark 2. It's a small unit, and a bit pricey. It also works on 24 V or a battery that you can buy separately. I haven't tried one but I think it might be a good solution for camping in hot weather. If you do get one or something similar send me a note let me know how it goes, I'd be interested in doing that myself.

Yeah I was really on the fence between the Tacoma and the Frontier. Came down to the Nissan has 310Hp and 9 speed transmission vs the Taco having 278hp and 6 speed transmission (if I remember correctly). People complain about the Taco always looking for the right gear. I have 0 complaints with the frontier. Works perfectly with plenty of power. Other thing is people said the Tacoma seat was uncomfortable. Nissan is very comfortable. I drove from Nashville to Santa Fe and back in two days and was perfectly comfortable. Wish the frontier had front locker but I only used the front locker on my jeep a couple of times in 3 years. Other thing was the price difference. This one is fully loaded for $38k with 14000 miles. Can’t even get close to that for a TRD pro. I wasn’t looking at GFC campers but came across this one at half the price of the competitors. I like it except for the stupid window screens being on the inside and the doors not zipping at the bottoms. Very strange setup. If you want to check it out let me know. We are pretty close.

@@rambling4x4adventures92 yeah I have a gfc on my gladiator and I hate the window setup. I do like how you have a half board under the bed so part of the back is open. Do you know if the previous owner made that?

I think the weight listed on the website for the mid-size truck models is for a completely base model (no windows). You add windows and some "beef rack" roof bars like this one has and you're over 300 pounds pretty quickly.

I loved the Ursa Minor, however I have had a run of bad luck with Jeeps. I pulled the plug on my 2013 wrangler after 10K in repairs. With my current Jeep I bought the warranty, and it's had $10,000 repairs after two years. I drove it up to Vermont over the turn of the new year and had $2000 in engine repairs when I got home. I want a vehicle that I don't have to worry about breaking down and will last me a long time so I bought a 2023 Nissan Frontier. I have just uploaded some videos on what I am doing with it.

I am somewhat new to Georgia, in Atlanta. May I ask where you got your map? I found one on a trail website. Just curious how you got and downloaded, what app you used if any? Great video, a lot of work went into it I can tell. Thanks

Hey, google Georgia traverse trail and goto Georgia overland. Scroll down and there is a link for download. Download the gpx file. I use a iPad mini 6 with Gaia maps. Go online on your computer and sign up. Upload the map (gpx) file to Gaia on your computer. Then downlpad Gaia on your phone or iPad and sign into your account that you set up on your computer. Pull up the map and see where the closest location is to jump on the trail. You won’t need and 4 wheel drive on this road. I got on at Dalton and went east. Some roads will be closed and you’ll have to route around. Have fun and thanks for watching. I’m hoping to get out more this fall.

Great video. Did you have to add or modify any other things regarding the suspension and stearing aside from the OME shocks and springs from the kit? I have read that a break line relocation kit is needed, and also maybe an adjustable track bar like the one from teraflex? Also, did you relocate the rear trackbar? I went with the light load because based on what I've read I am not carrying as much weight.
@rambling4x4adventures92 Жыл бұрын
I did not modify anything. Brake lines reached fine. Track bar was fine as well as rear track bar. It was only a 2” lift anything taller and you would have to change all the other stuff. Thanks for watching. Been busy with a farm we bought (rambling farms homestead). Will be out jeeping again soon.
