what maximum size auxiliary battery can fit? Can you use a lithium under the bonnet?

n70 size case which is 306mm long. yes you can use lithium but consult your supplier for on that is rated and that they will warrant for under bonnet use.

@@biancadonaldson4490 My land cruiser has just arrived am a bit concerned that the wiring from the battery is screwed to the top of original battery tray, looking at your tray there is no where to fix down the cabling, Is this an easy fix? and how much does the Freight cost to come to Perth?

hi guys im waiting for the new offroad snowy SRT 20 and looking at exactly that system you have there.. Q: do you leave in all the PM300 system and disable the charging and solar to that origanal equip, and reroute solar and shore power into the Enerdrive system, leaving original monitoring panel for tanks etc via the PM300. and then power the PM system with 12v to supply power to the reset of the van. ?

Hi Mark, Great looking "upgrades" just a question you said you were ruining 25mm from the front of the van to the DC2DC. will 25mm fit into the lugs of the dc2dc no worries? and another question, with Enerdrive releasing their MPPT brand does that make the tristar redundant these days ? ty .

Hi great product! I’m trying to figure out if it’s what I need. 2016 hilux 2.4L diesel gun125. (Thailand origin) chile location. I’m getting info ranging from 80amps-220amps! From official toyota online sources. 😮 What I would like to know is with the original alternator (unknown size?) what size dc to ac inverter can I run (no second battery) without overheating the alternator (if I ran it in idle speed for 5+ hours a day, but only once per year). Any useful info?

Hi Kevin. The original alternator fitted from toyota is a denso 80amp unit. I probably would not run anymore than 300w at idle on a standard alternator, this is factoring in genneral loads of the vehicle and that alternators do not like to run high loads at idle for long periods due to lack of cooling from the fan

Hey mate are you having any issues with volt and percentage being not accurate on AGM batteries ? As I've put a multi meter on agm battery and its saying one thing as to the battery monitor ? Cheers

no never had a problem with it reading the correct voltage, it only calculates the percentage based on this so the percentage should be close but not pin point accurate, not that these monitors are only good on lead based batteries, if you want accurate percentage readings we recommend a monitor like the enerdrive epro plus, this has a proper monitored shunt calculating current in and out

@@Bansheebuzz183 ohh ok no worries....yeah my powertech is saying 100% at 12.6 volts on my agm battery and the volt meter on the battery box is reading around 12.5 volts...it may be a faulty battery monitor but I'm not 100% sure

Hi Corey, whilst the alternator will fit unfortunatly the wiring kit will not. If you live on or near the gold coast we can install it and make the wiring to suit, alternatively we can supply the alternator on its own and you can have someone local to you do the work. Most functions will work however the percentage will be incorrect due to the differance in working voltages between lithium and lead based batteries. We recommend the range of enerdrive monitors for lithium. Thanks

Hi can i use the Powertech Bluetooth 12V Battery Monitor on 2 AGM batteries i have in the back of my 4x4 to check them. Would i wire the unit onto the negative lead on 1 battery and the positive to the other battery any help would be great. Thanks

Any ideas what it's like to use multiple units on separate batteries ? I have a total of FIVE 12v batteries in my camper and would like to monitor each of them. I have two leisure batteries connected in series to drive my 24v inverter and the transit came with with two main batteries under drivers seat, the other I have separate to run my diesel heater so you can understand why monitoring them all would be useful, and if the app could display all of them on one screen that would be even better.

Sorry it won't display them together. The other thing is it won't display individual batteries wired in parallel and you would need 2 to monitor the 24v bank as there only 12v. I would suggest an epro monitor. Far more advanced and can display voltages of three banks

Hey mate. I'm assuming that the battery is on it's side? Is that ok to do? Also i wanted to do a similar install behind the seat but someone warned me against the battery giving off gases and what not. What do you think? I'm obviously not a sparky.

Yes it's ok to lie the battery on it's side. The battery is a sealed AGM therefore no gases. As long as you use a sealed AGM on the install.
