i remember reading on his website back then that he was doing a tour of border's book stores. i was bummed when he didn't come anywhere around where i was. the guy is an brilliant musician, and was going through a terrible pain at this time having just lost his wife...what a great artist. also so unfair that 5 years earlier, he was in arena's and large venues.

OMG this video gave me flashbacks good and bad of working at pizza hut. Friday and Saturday were the insane days I was pushing over 400 pies an hour out for 5-6 hours. Fyi I wasn't alone on the line . It turns into a factory assembly line when it's busy. Very doable back then . Today most would run away from that level of work.

The dining experience was the BEST I have ever experienced back in the 80s. Will never forget that experience sitting on those cushy red booths that you sink into, the signature Pizza Hut aroma, those big glass pictures full of soda you pour into red plastic cups, and most of all that pan pizza inside that black dish served on a wooden board coming to your table.

Gloves weren't mandated back then, even when I started in restaurants in the mid 90s everyone just used their hands as long as they were washed. 2005 was when gloves were first mandated by the FDA.

It seems wrong but sometimes its actually safer to not wear gloves too. The likelihood of cross contamination increases when you're wearing gloves as you arent washing your hands as often or wanting to change gloves as frequently as you should. It depends on other procedures n safety stuff that you have in place, but I thought I ought to mention it as seeing someone working without gloves isn't always a bad thing 😊
