Great video AJ. It was nice to see you having fun with your pops. I miss mine. We lost him about 10 years ago and I never got to share the Eastern Sierras with him. I have been going there for almost 30 years but only invited him once. By then he was too sick to go. Thank you for sharing this with all of us. ✌️

Great video... Looks like great times as always in My favorite areas of CA...Have to ask I know you do a lot of cooking on the pine wood sold at camp sites. Now you're foil packs are fine but the Tri-tip? How did that turn out?
@soulcalajАй бұрын
Thank you sir! I usually tend to let the fire burn for quite a while before putting any meat/poultry/fish above it to avoid anything sketchy. For the tri-tip, I had brought some red oak to use for hotter temps and I also use some charcoal to boost temps. Never notice any strange tastes, smells. Turned out amazing.

@@soulcalaj I notice you are sporting the HUK fishing boots. How are they? I'm in the market, true to size? How about overall comfort during a full day of fishing? I hike a lot to get to certain fishing areas, especially in the sierras, how are they for overall hikes to get to where i'm going, nothing worse than sore feet! Thanks for any info you can provide.

@@kevinclark1348 I really like my huk boots currently, very comfortable and has great traction. I usually always go with a muck boot but these Huk boots were affordable and have lasted a long time. I fish several times a week and they've been super high quality so far. Definitely recommended.
