Helpful video! My hubs (Scottish) and I (Canadian) are looking to go to Scotland with me on a youth visa. I'm just trying to get as much information as possible so fewer surprises later on! I'm hoping having a Scottish spouse will help us get things (rent, car, etc) smoother than being brand new.

I don't know about everyone else but both the bank and insurance companies ask you specifically if you are going to rent your RV. My feeling is that the bank will call the loan and your insurance will cancel you. Notice how he says nothing about that. Read your bank financing and your RV insurance documents. I'm sure you'll find these exceptions. In my documents it says under penalty and perjury you answered honestly.

Oh, absolutely! How could I ever forget the sacred duty of being a loyal servant to the almighty bank and the benevolent insurance overlords? 🙏 ‘Please, Mr. Insurance Company, take my money and keep me safe from the big, bad world!’ Because, as we all know, they’re just looking out for our best interests, right? And of course, the fine print is always written with our well-being in mind. 😏 I mean, who wouldn’t want to be a model citizen, dutifully obeying every little clause, crossing every ‘T,’ and dotting every ‘I’ just to make sure the big guys are happy? ‘Yes, sir! I promise I won’t rent out my RV! Please don’t cancel my insurance! I’ll be good, I swear!’ After all, it’s not like these massive corporations and the government have ever been involved in anything shady, right? Nope, not at all. They’re the paragons of virtue, and we should all aspire to be just like them. But hey, thanks for the reminder! I almost forgot to double-check my documents and make sure I’m still a loyal subject of the insurance kingdom. 😜

@@AlexRoseTravels You do have a choice Einstein. Break the law and go to jail. Just because your happy go lucky you should want other people to follow you over the cliff. Don't buy insurance and except all the risks. You need them they don't need you. Try and remember Einstein when people file claims it is they who pay out more than you ever paid them. For me I will follow the rules and let insurance companies take all the risk and I will pay their premiums so I don't lose all I've ever work for.

Hi everyone! Let me answer these recent questions for you: I did not have to go to Toronto at all, however, the process took place at the consulate there. You can do it remote, but will need to mail in your physical passport to Toronto for the visa. You need to maintain a physical mailing address in Canada while waiting for your visa approval yes. Once in Spain, you can go to a consulate, and with your NIE, you can extend your visa. I hope this helps!

Also, did Elaina need to establish proof of accommodation in Spain and proof of medical insurance as part of the visa application? How can you do these things before knowing whether your visa application will be accepted?

Once in Spain, you can go to a consulate, and with your NIE, you can extend your visa.

From my experience Taiwan has no jobs available for foreigners on the working holiday visa. Unless you have specific qualifications which in themselves qualify you for the regular work visa anyway. Japan on the other hand is or at least was a different story.

That's very different from my experience. The WHV is an open work permit, so you qualify for any work that also requires a work visa. I had many opportunities.

It depends for each country. For instance, for coming to Canada, it's CAD 2,500 in your bank account, but Australia is about AUD 5,000 or a return plane ticket. You have to check for each country specifically. 🙂

Spain does not have an online system yet so everything is paper form. www.exteriores.gob.es/Consulados/toronto/en/ServiciosConsulares/Paginas/Consular/Youth-mobility-visa.aspx But you can try contacting the Embassy or Consulate of Spain while in Australia to see if they would be willing to process his paper work there. Australia and Spain have a working holiday so they might be able to help. An intermediary platform that does not make any intermediary. We have rented several times through RVEZY and the last time they re-invoiced us an invoice from the owner of the vehicle without trying to understand the reality. You are in no way protected by this site, rent directly with the owner, you avoid the big costs. The reality is that the vehicle owner's plate was not up to standard according to ontario. we took a fine via the highway tolls of $150 which is not in our name. It is therefore impossible to contest it and RVEZY replies that the file is closed when we try to find an arrangement. I will contact all blogs and forums to talk about the practices of a site that forgets that to work there must be landlords and tenants.
