Next summer it will get a winch and protection bars with lights on them, just got my 503 and need a carb for it - should be nice with that in it. This is only a reverse/neutral/forward transmission alpine, no hi/lo range but I know where there are a few parts sleds so will try to go get one or two - they are late 80's models. Thanks for all your help.

I'm tuning it up today, extending the ski, adding the chain, going to start fiddling with the ski to help it turn, adding a carbide and skiskin - might also add some small carbides on the side of the ski. The fiberglass belly pan is cracked so I will be adding a steel plate soon as well. Oh, and I have a new decal kit coming from Doodecals!

My buddy and I will be out this weekend on the alpines, I got mine running very well and also got a 503 rotax to swap in if I blow this one. Any tips or tricks we should know about these things? I'll get some video when we start running them - I'll alos be pulling the bombardier original groomer that came with my alpine in 1978. Thanks!

lol, it looks like it steers easier than mine! I'm going to try some mods to help it a bit - maybe a carbide and I am going to try a bit of a design change. Very nice! Post more alpine vids!

It doesn't steer easily! In deep snow, this thing goes wherever it wants. Off trail, small trees and branches makes it not too bad. But very often you have to go reverse/forward a few times to make it around a tight turn.

I have an alpine, how do you make is steer so easily?
