I just looked back at this again. All I can say is you, as a real estate agent, I hope you have a back up plan. I'm sure as soon as your broker sees this,.and I'd bet someone will show it to them.... you'll need a new job. I know John L. Scott is one prominent real estate company in that area. They'd be very dismayed to hear an agent talking like this. Redmond is a beautiful city. And as for cost of living...I can't say recently...but I'd have thought Bellevue was more expensive....But, just Google cheap housing in Redmond....they are there. I immediately saw four $335.000 and under. I just caught understand this agents motivation. Sad.

I grew up in Western Washington and it's a sad shell of what it used to be. Homelessness and crime were never big issues when I was growing up; they are now. The people of Washington, sadly, do not learn and keep voting for the same people and party that has destroyed the place. Big business wants more people in the state because that Equals more $$ to them; hence the strong drive to import people into the area - they are new consumers.

I've lived here off and on since the 1970's. (military assignments) I have lived here permanently since 1995. If you are a fair-weather person, then yes don't move to Seattle. Other factors are what they are. There are 2 types of places I could never live in. 1. Places that are flat. 2. Red States.

Great video & I guess Edmonds haven’t shed that old retirement theme since I moved away 25 years ago. I hope It’s still a quaint community with that beautiful waterfront park. Cheers & have a happy, healthy & prosperous 2025 to all.

Let's get negative! Melbourne Florida is also just horrible. Nasty people moving down from New York and surrounding areas. Stifeling heat and humidity for months on end. Homeless people litter the streets and the waterways are full of crud. (I hope that keeps our little piece of heaven the way that it is.) LOL

I was born and raised north of Seattle, a town called Marysville, and just recently moved to Seattle after 8 years of living in Oklahoma, i gotta say the people in my neighborhood are nice and polite, I went for a walk yesterday and people were saying good morning to me! Nice polite neighborhood unlike okc where everyone seemed to be on their high horses, plus the racism i had to put up with in Oklahoma, im native American and people always told me to stay out of the city, so i ended up finding out for myself, am I gotta say, out of all places ive visted, Seattle is more polite than expected, nobody messes with me and everyone smiles at me and greets me when walking by, unlike down south where everyone seems to eye judge. Yes to me Seattle is more friendly than okc Bakersfield, texas etc. it feels more like a place to raise a family and have a good job than any other place, although the prices are high and everything costs money, its a small price to pay, plus in Oklahoma everything is spread out far where you need a car to go to Walmart, it took me one hour to drive and get food and stuff, but here!, and getting stranded is a risk for living out in the country, unlike here where everything is close and in walking distance so for me i sacrificed gas money and strain on my car just so that i can have everything I need close by, for me its a compromise of gas money over walking distance, ( more walking, less gas i need to spend) so for me its worth it. Yes i understand that there's a drug problem here, but in my experience, meth was a big issue with while living in Oklahoma, as well as other things too! I too am a former addict myself (9 years sober) and living here gives me yhe motivation to stay clean and seeing everyone looking professional dressed just givese the inspiration to continue my sobriety, now I'm reading the Bible and serving the Lord! Yes for me Seattle seems more welcoming than any other place I've been to, living in Oklahoma, all the youthful men like to pick fights, for any reason, so I always had to keep my guard up on people, especially when they are drinking, here its not like that, i may get a few judging looks but not as much as okc 8 years of living and working in Oklahoma, i noticed a big change in attitude the moment i moved here, less stressful and much to do, i will be staying for awhile.

Seattle bites, it really is not the nice place it used to be. It is also full of liberals who think the place should be run like NYC and California. yes they will assault you in broad day light and your car is never safe. If I knew it was going to be like this I would have left town ten years ago. It is mondo expensive. All the great businesses are being run out also. BTW I live in a great house and have a business and I love it here.

I’m from there. Every winter wind storms happen with rain too. You are at risk of home damage and property damage if there are ample very large trees around you. The one thing outsiders don’t know to do or beginner home owners in king county beyond Seattle don’t do, that causes disastrous outcomes for you or your neighbors, is getting your large trees in your yard inspected. It is an absolute must to get them inspected and encourage your neighbors to do so as well every 2-3 years. Inspecting trees and knowing if parts need cutting or if it’s in not great health is highly highly advised because those trees in not as great shape are typically the trees that fall. If wind storms happen, stay on the lowest level until it passes to avoid a deathly outcome.

To be honest, this person does not know anything about Bellevue and the people who live here. All 5 "negatives" are in fact positives and Bellevue people love it as it is. Why would I cry about the fact that my home is expensive? Do I care about others who can't afford such, not being able to move here? Nope! Just say it as it is, don't go around the bush! How about the fact that you don't see homeless and if you do, they are only here because they are lost and look for a way out? How about our police is doing it's job? Wild entertainment??? Go to freaking' Vegas if you want to disturb other people's lives! You do understand that people who live in Bellevue, do so by choice, don't you? Let me put is so that even you could understand: If you are having a relaxed life in Bellevue, you can have the same anywhere in the world (almost)! Cheers!

The police district changes between the shopping area by Fauntleroy and White Center (north is better funded), so that's one reason why the nearby neighborhoods to the south are worse. Also, gun violence happens around that shopping area bc of the bus stops around there making it easy to show up and get away quickly.

Lived in the area for over 30 years, my wife and I moved to Southern Oregon five years ago- never going back! You don’t realize how much the bad weather and traffic affects your life until you leave. You only slightly touched on the bad drivers, truly Seattle has some of the worst drivers in the country. The software industry up there has attracted a massive influx of people from countries where people don’t drive resulting in thousands of new drivers over 34-40 years old. It’s really frustrating. Also- you’ve had one of the worst Governors in the country over the last 12 years!

I lived in Seattle back in 2018 for 4 months, and I think to move again from Israel. I wanted a smaller suburb that is safer and has better community feel. It could be a bit hard going to a community that is already formed, but it seems like a welcoming space.

One of my fave cities to visit. Odd that the 10 or so times I’ve visited the PNW and Seattle specifically, the weather was luckily mostly beautiful. Living in the Bay Area, Seattle traffic is relatively tame. Proximity to BC and Vancouver isn’t bad either.

I’ve lived in Chicago land, my whole life and I gotta say I’m so sick of the extreme cold the extreme heat. Honestly I could use some cloudy days when it’s sunny. It’s too sunny it’s ridiculous. There’s no places for shade anywhere either. I’m definitely ready for some culture change. Do you wanna be in a beautiful area anywhere in the Pacific Northwest. By the way, thank you for the video I feel like you’re very genuine from the heart

My Aunt and Uncle had a beautiful home in Linwood and we visited several times in my youth. I remember the rain but I also remember his wonderful rose bushes. All different colors and the smell was awesome. I remember going to Horatio Hornblower's for dinner and then watching July 4th Fireworks. I was so impressed with the city and the lifestyle/food. My uncle also had a boat and a small cabin on a little island and we went ocean fishing, which none of us Canadians had ever done. That trip is one of my fondest memories. Cheers.

Apparently the Seattle metro area has more than 16k coffee shops.Lots of independent coffee shops as well, not just boring Starbucks. Also Seattle is famous for smoked salmon sushi and delicious clam chowder. Can be enjoyed indoors regardless of the "rain."
