I find very interesting when Ford trying to fixed problems and meanwhile everybody else looked as a problem. At the end this is just politics. You can be the best polition for the country but there's always someone says the other way.

Sorry but wee need more roads
@environmentaldefence22 күн бұрын
Traffic congestion is a big issue within the GTHA. However, building a new highway won’t solve the problem. Highways encourage more people to drive, leading to more traffic, not just on the highway but on nearby roads as well. A more cost effective and environmentally friendly solution to ease congestion would be to open up the 407 ETR to truckers and invest in more public transit.

Excellent video. UL Test Labs as completed a full line of testing on a our wet-clean product called Zabi Wet-clean. Zabi has been in beta test for more than 2 years with excellent results and is being used exclusively by Apple Cleaners in all locations as well as their fire and flood restoration business, FRSTeam St. Louis franchise. This product is sold only to professional dry cleaning and laundry businesses. Zabi has been proven to out perform both dry cleaning and other wet-clean detergents and is safe on all fabrics and materials, including suede leather. It saves energy by being formulated for cold water, needs no fabric softener or dryer sheets and will not fade colors. Laundry owners that have been early adopters of Zabi, say Zabi cleans so well that they can use a short cycle and turn rush orders in about half the time it takes to dry clean. One gallon will clean 757 loads (10lbs). For more information visit Zabiclean.com or contact AON Invent (479-855-6699) to speak with a real person (m-f 7am to 4:30pm CT).

There simply isn't the infrastructure available to meet energy demands. The world will need oil and gas for the next 100 years. To drop oil and gas altogether would decimate the Canadian economy. Carbon capture and storage is a great way to meet energy demands while allowing time for the transition to cleaner technologies as they advance and develop. Stop trying to sink us into a third world country.

To let something so beautiful as our natural land and its inhabitants would be the greatest crrime of our generation. Not only would we steal the lives of all the animals that live on the land but take the opportunity from our children and everyone that comes after them. Deprive them of seeing the raw and powerful beauty to be held in nature.

So glad that we are paying $2.25 million to the Beer Store to have the convenience of beer in corner stores 2 years early.. Some predict that it will result in an 8% increase in alcohol-related emergency room visits, but at least our homeless encampment will get the convenience it deserves!

I think it’s already too late for that. I think we know that Doug Ford will not reverse on his decision on return for return for deposit on non-alcoholic beverages

Direct air carbon capture powered by renewable energy is totally a powerful tool in the fight against climate change though. This differs from the carbon capture talked about in this video which is just trying to capture the carbon being emitted from the stacks of fossil plants as it comes out.

Are diamonds not a forever chemical ? Also how is a chemical that is not chemically reactive ( such as diamonds, ceramics, sand, etc ) toxic for me ? You gloss over it as if it's a huge harm, when alcohol, coffee etc.. are also linked to immune, thyroid and cancers, yet LCBO and Starbucks are fine. Is soya sauce also a toxic chemical as it's harmful as well, or beer, or wine... this is very strange presentation to give to layperson. PFAS are used in chemically resistive pipes, pumps etc... Full of half truths full of fear mongering tactics. You're weaponizing the population on issues that are not key but make you the environmental group look good and drive $$$ to your organization. I sincerely hope the youth of today can see through this. To the youth, live your lives, the world is not toxic as these 2 claim, and ask yourselves what's in it for them ( a job, money, an easy career).

Hydrogen is acknowledged by the DOE as an “Earthshot” aka a moonshot. An expensive taxpayer/deficit funded R&D project that benefits the fossil fuel industry and a handful of fossil fuel producing states. Same goes for CC. Burning taxpayer $ on these long shot initiatives is irresponsible and divert $ from expanding R&D on actual green energy solutions such as wind, solar and battery storage.

Over 70% of the produce in Canadian grocery stores is packaged in plastic. It is essentially impossible to completely avoid it. Grocery stores have FAR more power and profit than the consumer to move the markets. It is up to them to fix the mess they helped create. Not to mention that produce packaged in plastic tends to be priced lower by weight than it's unpackaged counterparts. Not everyone can afford to boycott.

Demand the O&G to create a strategic plan to shut down fields, clean up toxic sites and #RetireRefineries - and to model the impacts on price, logistics and the economy of towns and cities where infrastructure is retired and jobs eliminated - eliminating dividends, stock buyback, bonuses, stock options and deferred compensation while disallowing bankruptcy and sale of properties to other entities.
