I ordered the M-Carbo spring which is supposed to get the pull down to 2 lbs. Have you considered this? It might be redundant at this point. Also, do you have any recommendations for an aftermarket stock for a Ruger American Gen 2 in a long action?

I just purchased the hmr in 6.5 prc watch out for the extractor breaking It broke 2 so Bergara is getting it back to “look at it”

Thank you for the tip. I believe there is a site that sells a steel replacement extractor part. I had seen something on KZbin about this but cannot recall where. Sorry about that. I hope it works out good for you. Bergara will take care of you. Thank you for your comments.

I have this exact rifle and also in 6.5PRC. I was out shooting it yesterday and I always come away impressed with how glassy smooth the action is. And it’s just as smooth while feeding rounds out of the magazine! No snagging or roughness. Nice video!

@@huntinonabudgettexas4695 I had 4 shots in a .55” group and then my last shot messed it up and ended at 1.01” using the Hornady precision hunter ammo. I’ve had the rifle for 3 years and finally got 20 rounds total put through it.

Do you think overall the magpul stock, with its negatives taken into consideration, is better than the default stock?

Sorry for the late response. I do really prefer the Magpul stock. Even with its negatives, I am very happy with its performance and my son loves the ergonomics. He is a crack shot with it so I have to say it is a go for us. Thank you for your comments and question.

Thank you. I am sure I will be happy with it as I have been with all of my Bergara rifles. I hope to have some range results in a couple of weeks. Thanks for the comment.

I have the Timney trigger on my Ruger American Ranch Gen 2 rifle and it's a major improvement over the factory trigger.

@huntinonabudgettexas4695 I also have the new two stage on a Gen 2 20" 6.5 Grendel. Both are excellent triggers but if I had a choice I'd go with the two stage.

I’m not an engineer, but I think those rifle stock combos just work better with pmags. Whether it’s the the polymer that allows it to feel smoother or whatever. My particular Gen2 has some what heavy bolt lift even on an empty magazine. I feel like it’s due to the stiffness of the metal magazine. We could all hope that magpul gets on board and starts building 6ARC STANAG magazines. Hell even make them in their AI pattern mags.
@huntinonabudgettexas4695
@huntinonabudgettexas4695 4 ай бұрын
Agreed. Let's stay on top of it. 6ARC is not going anywhere. Magpul may as well get the mags in production.

So I learnt something! I recently put my 6ARC into a Hunter stock as well. Same thing as you, bolt drags on the bolt. Also it was tough to insert the mag on closed bolt. Well I bought new magazine thinking all I had was 5rd Duramag mags. I picked up a D&H Tactical 6.5Gren mag. Can insert on closed bolt and way less drag on the bolt. Not going to say none. But less.

Awesome video!! Is that the original magpul chassis that was for the Ruger Gen 1 or did they make one specifically made for the Gen 2? Thanks!
