I will be rough. This is a whole load of... No one can keep the sabbath. See, ancient calendars were governed by the moon, new moon, full moon, 7th day after the new moon was a sabbath. In our current calendar and world, it means the sabbath falls on any day in different months this lunar month it could be a Tuesday, after 4 cycles a thrusday, after another 4 cycles could jump to Friday or Saturday. so on, so on. So in the working World we live in, it's impossibly to keep a sabbath where we don't work. The other part is more philosophical, thinking that one day, is holy directly implies that the rest are evil!! It's really cyclical thinking. That is what Jesus freed is from. So Jesus said, it is lawful to do good on the sabbath, just do good, whether it's work, whatever do good every day. Now that is freedom. See, the law is partly God, partly man. Even the 10 commandments..

That is also the only commandment not repeated in the New Testament, because the Sabbath was fulfilled in Christ. Our rest is in Christ.

Thinking that is an answer makes me feel sorry for you. Genesis is basically a mythical part of the bible, only a madman takes it literally. I suppose you think the earth is also 6000 years old. One final point, imagine being black and possibly having ancestry that were slaves, that very book condones slavery.

This explanation falls apart when you look at adam and eve either as a literal event (adam and eve being literal first humans) and also when you think that its some sort of story telling device. We know that animals and plants existed well before humans, and we also know that there were carnivores before humans. Did the sin of man already happen at that point or no? Taking it as a non literal event you start running into grounds where youre discounting heavily whats in the bible/old testament anyway. So why believe anything else in the bible if youve already discounted its telling of adam and eve? Or you can say that dinosuars arent real and evolution isnt real and be laughed at. What view point do you hold?

What you believe it immaterial. What God, Jesus and the Word of God very clearly state is paramount. I believe in unicorns, but, the fact is they do not exist. Those ten were given to the Jews. Paul said he was in the synagogue on Sabbath, but taught the Gentiles on the First day. You need to understand, there is two Different Covenants. Study Better. Were are not under the Levitical, we are under the Melchizedekian Priesthood.
