I lived in comunistic land in 1986.I did know,that David Bowie and Jim Henson were doing a movie ,but I (very loving fan of DB) didn't know if I will have a chance to see it.I was abnormally nervous,I cry a lot,but I have only one hope- ORF-Austrian television.I don't remember when,but I saw this genial movie.I was happy as can be.But I had video with it after a many years. I love DB from my 12 and I will love him forever.(Sorry my English.)

Just saw this in theatres other day. Was amazing to see it on the big screen. Very glad I got to enjoy it as it was and still is one of my favorite films from my childhood.

There is nothing that comes close to the amazing passion and collective artforms of this timeless classic. I saw this twice at the cinema when it was released. It's still one of my all time favourites.

I love jim hensons voice. He sounds like kermit to me. Its a warm and comforting voice that fills me with nostalgia.

There's no fucking way a film like this could be made today in the manner that this was. And that is a damn shame.

its crazy, i have never cared for musicals, david bowie music or puppet styled movies. but yet 25 years after seeing it for the first time, the labyrinth is still my favorite movie. it truly is magic.

I wish we as a society could go back to making movies like this, with real sets and puppets. Movies were so much more magical back then...

Nobody could’ve done it like Bowie did, gosh I fell in love with him, more as Jareth, he’s marvelous. ❤️ The chemistry between him and Jennifer is just beautiful !

My favourite jim henson film is labyrinth and David bowie has a great taste of music in this movie

As a 3D animator, it still amazes me how much time and effort it took to make these amazing sets. There is just something genuine and organic about the results that you can't really replicate no matter how advanced the programs are imo. It must've been fun to work with, I would've loved to have a chance to work in those kinds of sets, so much creativity!

We seen David Bowie act in a few movies but Labyrinth is my favourite i was 4 years old when the movie was released but i watched when i was i think 7 years old on tv. So from there i know who is David Bowie

La cosa stupefacente di questo noir di Renoir è che oltre ad essere un capolavoro sulla ambiguità e le sfumature dell'animo umano (nessuno è veramente buono o malvagio fino in fondo, ma tutti vivono con fatica la propria condizione umana) è che è un piccolo affresco sulla vita dell'equipaggio di una locomotiva a vapore. I dettagli sui controlli effettuati dal macchinista a fine corsa sui bielloni e sulla temperature dei cuscinetti degli assi sono talmente realistici che Jean Gabin sembra lui stesso un "maestro" (un macchinista). Ci sono diversi film con le macchine a vapore viste da vicino come "Il treno" del 1964, ma nessuno è così realistico sulle consuetudini e la vita negli scali del tempo del vapore come questo. Ci sono molti documentari ma nessuno ha l'intensità dell' "Angelo del male". Le scene del macchinista che si vanta di aver guadagnato 30 franchi perchè ha fortunosamente risparmiato carbone o del capostazione che chiede al macchinista (Jean Gabin) il suo cartellino perchè si è portato con ritardo in testa al treno sono per un pubblico di palati fini ferroviariamente parlando. Segnalo infine che che c'è un brutto remake americano di questo film, girato da Fritz Lang nel 1954 e intitolato "La bestia umana", che non può a mio avviso essere neanche lontanamente paragonato al film di Renoir: comunque è su Yutube e chi vuole può vederlo

I really like Hoggle's appearance. His face is really gnarled and weathered and hes kind of ugly and creepy but also really endearing.
