island coal and effervecent water are availble at lvl 12 when u unlock the cave, but you wont get any island shale or island spectrine, so get 4 coal and don't, "while you're there", waste your time getting only half the materials from the nodes because you'll have to come back for same nodes again for spectrine and shale. what about lvl 15 and 16?

Its a set up for the workshop in the 2 weeks leading up to a new patch that lets you start the new patch with a big chunk of experience. Its a workshop recommendation put out by the Overseas Casuals community (I view it on Discord, not sure where else they post it).

It's a shame we didn't get instanced housing with Island Sanctuary. I hope next expansion has instanced housing.

I am really hoping that in a future patch they allow decorating the inside of the island cabin as well as using outdoors furniture. House decorating is so fun that everyone should get to do it!

That's what I'm hoping for as well! This seemed like a really good way for them to test out the idea of an instanced housing area, and so far, things seem to be working quite well. Fingers crossed that this is a prelude for things to come down the road. I know folks like to argue that they'd lose the sense of community if we swapped to an instanced housing system, but at the same time, like... how often do you actually see people walking around freely in housing areas? It's a ghost town!

I am not getting the quest from Felicitous Furball after hitting rank 17. There are no quests open for me for island sanctuary. what am I doing wrong?

There should have been a quest potentially when you first got to the island, as long as you are able to unlock the new area with the big crystals then you got the lower quest and should be able proceed.

I had the same problem go check all your landmarks one is probably under construction and once you click the board and finish it then the quest will pop up. Hope this helps!

Thank you for confirming how this process works... I made multiple trips to and from the island with different furnishings that didn't seem to work, but I guess you're just not allowed to have anything remotely interactive (gardening patches, striking dummies), which completely tanked my interest.

Oh yeah I think I forgot to mention that. But yeah garden patches and striking dummies are a no go and some things you can only have one of (the Expanse Fountain is one of them it turns out lol).

This video helped out. I'm currently looking for a private house and kept finding ones for only FC. I remembered hearing specific wards were for specific buyers but didn't know which ones were for which. So I looked up a guide and found this video. Now I know which wards I need to focus more on.

The nice thing is if it's a seasonal item they're usually on sale at a discount during the associated time of year. Makes it a little less expensive to catch up with event rewards that you missed. :)

Can you buy a house in the FC wards for private use? We already have a house in Shirogane (FC) so I am not sure if I’m able to buy a small house in the same FC area…if that makes any sense. Also, can you buy a house from another player (like if your friends help you find a house and they win)?

It depends on what ward and world you're on at this time. If it's a higher number ward, you might actually be able to buy a small in the same ward now. I explain the new ward breakdown in my newest video. Also you can't buy directly from another player, they do that to make sure people don't pay irl money for in game houses.

Going off the lodestone updates, that is noted behavior and they should have it fixed in early May. So look forward to getting your house sometime in May!
