The Lord loves justice and fairness; he will never abandon his people. They will be kept safe forever. (Psalm 37:28) I saw your painting Chariots of Fire and thought about the way that would feel, to look into the sky and see. It reminds me why its so necessary to fear the Lord. When people pray to the Father, it is the same Father that Isaiah 66:15-16 evokes. "For behold, the Lord will come in fire, and his chariots like the whirlwind, to render his anger in fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire." The same feeling I get from Jesus Returns. We will one day see such a wonder in our skies and it will mean an end of world as we've known it for generations. A merciful father designed the gears and the mechanisms of our reality that we should be grateful function so precisely. Living within the arms of Jesus for the rest of eternity sounds pretty great. I thank you for these reminders of the faith I've held in Jesus and the great gift of the Holy Spirit.

what brands of paint do you recommend to use for indoor windows?
@melpykeart8 ай бұрын
I have a mix of brands, but I find flow acrylics rather than heavy body are easier to mix, and student-grade artist paints work better than craft acrylics. Craft paint colours don't contain enough concentration of pigment thus won't show up as bright so you have to go over it a couple of times, and also they tend to settle, so the paint will be either too watery or too chunky. You can add some clear dish soap to help make removal easier. Paint will need to be watered down as well.

Hi there thank you for the tip!!! ❤❤❤ may I ask you if you use regular acrylic painting?
@melpykeart8 ай бұрын
Hi! I use regular acrylic paint for interiors, and for painting on the exterior I use exterior latex paint for better weather resistance.

What brand of paint do you use for the windows?
@melpykeart Жыл бұрын
I use a mix of brands. I recommend an exterior latex if it's for outdoors though, , cheap craft paints are likely to lift off the window in rain.

Does this also work for tinted windows as well?
@melpykeart2 жыл бұрын
This will work but I do not recommend painting on tinted windows.

No! Does not work. My students painted windows in our building and they were up for six months and we tried to take them down and it was ridiculously hard to take one down. Water alone does not work. Especially if it is thick paint.
@melpykeart2 жыл бұрын
Sorry to hear you had some trouble. Often external things like the heat of the sun makes paint more difficult to take off, especially if thick and left up for an extended amount of time. Did you find a solution that worked? I've heard that there are some chemicals that will dissolve acrylic paint.

Keep them wet with warm soap and water for 5 minutes, when they start to dry rewet then use 4" razor,

I'm also a professional window painter and I always spray the window with glass cleaner with ammonia, such as Windex, not water. I work in small sections about 3 ft square at a time and saturated good, let it sit for a minute first and then scrape.

Melani, this was very helpful. I have been asked by some local businesses to paint windows. Do you have a favorite brand? Tips?

Thank you I appreciate the feedback so I can improve for upcoming videos! I've taught this painting as a step by step demo to groups of kids and found ways to explain how to make the face, so I think I should follow up with a sequel lol!

Agreed with previous comment, would have liked to have seen how you painted the face. I'm very new to this and I like watching more complete painting sessions. I almost clicked off this video at the beginning when you were splashing paint with the palette knife. However, I'm glad I stayed because your painting is amazing! Would love to see many more videos like this. Thank you!

Oops sorry. I'm a beginner and I didn't see you paint the face. It just suddenly appeared. Lol. Was it done in one color or did you change colors during the process? I'm trying to paint an owl too. And I just hope to do half as good as you did. Your really good! Thanks Scott
