That's in great condition. I've got pretty much the same setup except I assume mine is a little older because it's grey instead of Power Bronze.

I don’t think color is an indicator of age. The CRAFTSMAN logo on this one is a later style, almost certainly from the 1960’s.

Glad i came across your video as i was thinking about installing a hot water recirculating pump because i have 6 people living in a 5 bedroom house with 3 full baths and it takes literally 3-5 minutes for the hot water to reach our bathrooms which means probably 30-50 gallons of wasted water every single day because we all work different shifts and take showers during different times of the day and night. So, my question is, although i know i will save a lot of water probably 30-50 gallons per day, but how much energy does the pump use every day if i leave the pump on 24 hours a day all year round? And how long will the pump last if it is running 24/7/365. The pump costs $219 from Lowes at my place which i can afford, but can't afford it if i need to replace it every couple of years or so.

Mike, I did not notice any difference with my electric bill and I have it set for 20 hours a day. You will notice a small difference with the gas bill if you have a gas water heater. Gas or electric your heater will run more. My setup works great I always have hot water in my kitchen immediately. I used to have and wait 2 or three minutes. I do have a few branches in the plumbing so at some of those bathrooms I need to wait 15 to 20 seconds but it used to be same as the kitchen. As far as the pump, it should be rated for continuous duty so I would not be concerned about that going out anytime soon but anything with moving parts will fail some day.
