This isn't a song I listen to often - but man, that chorus! Every time I hear it, I know it - and just seeing the title, I could hear it again as if it were playing! My father introduced me to this group when I was in high school. I remember hot summers, with their music playing all throughout the house - writing stories, playing video games, whatever the day brought, and then coming downstairs to hear ELO blasting from the garage or the kitchen while my father worked around the house. The days of youth!

Yes the reduced time for DOM was perfect. And the Jupiter mission was also the right length of time. Skip the ending and leave it a mystery. Btw why keep the mission secret from the crew? What were they going to do?

I don't understand what the point was in editing out two thirds of this brilliant movie and changing the music which, together with what has been edited out made THE most memorable and enjoyable movie watching experience of my life. Anybody who watches this version and thinks they have seen 2001 a space odyssey in all it's glory is totally mistaken! If you have not seen it and wish to see, arguably the finest movie of it's time...... Watch the original theatrical edit. There is no comparison between this and the original!

How did this not get a copyright strike

I remember seeing this at the cinema when it was first released. A truly awe inspiring film but what was interesting was the b movie chariots of the gods by Eric Von Danekin the impact that had on my young 16 year old mind was a life changer for me.
