The Philippines has a lot of railways.. Made in Japan, Indonesia, China and Korea..but it's over crowded. Now all project railways in the Philippines are cancelled, for the projects in Mindanao.. The Philippines has 3 regions.. Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.. Manila is the Capital of the Whole Philippines and the Mega City of Luzon.. The mega City in Visayas is Cebu and the mega City of Mindanao is Davao City. Current News Mindanao wants to be an independent States...but 50 percent of Mindanao people don't like it and others don't like it... Beside Manila in Luzon, Pampangga is becoming a Mega City too.

Enjoy it while it lasts over the years BRTs become unable to manage the demand and collapse, I'm from Bogotá, Colombia the first big city in the world scammed with this BRT nonsense, Trasmilenio is called here, and it has totally collapesed, stations and buses are overcrowded, long waiting times, traffic due to too many rutes for the stations to handle, and the system is about to go broke. Such is the problem of the BRT that the city has decided to not make any new lines except for the ones already planned and conracted opting favor metro and light rail lines.

Malaysian prefer more to using LRT,MRT, Commuters Train, Grab Cars. More fast travelling and efficient. Malaysia standard of living are high after Singapore. They even drive with their own cars due to cheap petrol oil and road nextworking very good

Its a solid solution. Not that different from light rail, so long as it has that dedicated lane. The problem is politics. Powerful people are usually car owners who live in nice houses in the suburbs. They don't want to give up lanes because they think they'll have a harder time driving and finding parking. The BRT needs time to work and be built up. It won't solve the issue overnight. This is Vietnam's mistake. The value of a public transit system is in the network (connection and coverage). One BRT line its not very valuable on its own. As you add more lines, the value of the transit systems starts to compound and more and more people will use it. It also takes some time for developers to start building denser projects around the stations. When this happens, more people will live closer to a station and not drive as much. Businesses will pop up because of the foot traffic. The area become more of an interesting walkable community where people would want to live, work, and shop. People who keep their cars actually benefit because there will be less cars on the road blocking them. They won't actually see much increase traffic as the cars removed by the BRT offsets the lane reduction. Also, more lanes does not solve vehicle traffic because of induced demand and bottle necks in the road network. This is especially true in downtowns. Its really more of a political problem than an engineering problem. It just takes will power and time.

So much improvement in the Philippine railway is on the way... It is being handled by the Japanese Sumitumo corporation... Our commuter tracks from Tutuban to Laguna, uses some train units from your country... The North-South commuter railway however, will utilize high speed train units from Japan.... I hope someday we can also manufacture train units here.... PS... I love your voice...

Honestly, at some points, BRT systems in KL - Bangkok - Hanoi are better than Transjakarta, despite their limited route. They're safer, more comfortable, more modern, and more well-connected to stations or any public places. Some Transjakarta routes have too little frequency that passengers need to wait too long, some old buses aren't cool enough. But still, I'm proud of Transjakarta as the world's largest BRT system. It's comfortable, very cheap, and has been improving these recent years with the installing of platform screen doors, arrival screen, and pedestrian bridge connecting to stations.
@s21b0b2 жыл бұрын
Transjakarta actually is pretty much a success story in not just creating a BRT system, but also revolutionizing local bus transport. The old dilapidated buses are almost gone...
