@@DestinyDiamond yea but isn’t it great my partner is a dog person but she knew I loved cats but unfortunately I couldn’t have a cat because I live in a one bedroom flat and that’s no life for a cat but my partner lives next door and her house is just right for a cat so we decided to have a kitten we previously had a street cat that an elderly lady kept feeding but she was afraid he might trip her up on the stairs so we took him in his name was benji he was a ginger Tom cat omg he was so totally bonkers always up to mischief he was wild he made a mess of my hand scratched me many times but he soon calmed down very loyal and followed us everywhere he even liked one of the dogs we walked for someone then we went on holiday and put him in a local cattery and when we picked him up he was very vocal on the way home so we got him home and he calmed down this was on the Saturday and he went out as usual Sunday morning came and we went shopping and when we got home he had been killed by a car outside Caroline’s house I have never cried so much in my life I still miss him to this day and always will sorry so we saw this ad for a female kitten so we went to see her well love at first sight but we had to wait until she was old enough to leave the litter the mother had 3 a girl and two boys so as time went by we were ready to pick her up when the lady who had the kittens said she had given one of the boys to a relative and could we take the other boy so no hesitation yes was the obvious answer so that’s how we got ziggy and missy but my concern was the road that benji was killed on so they were fine as kittens they couldn’t get out of Caroline’s small garden so I got the idea of building a catio for them which thanks to you guys in America so I built them one and everybody is safe and happy I don’t like caged animals but they are very content and can bask in the sun and not kill our birds because that’s the only thing I dislike about those bundles of fun happy days well haven’t I said to much so I will wish you and princess lily and your partner and family and cat lovers all over the world a happy new year and let’s hope humans come to their senses and stop trying to kill each other I reckon a cat could do a better job amen 😜 x

@@DestinyDiamond I thought the same yet there are pros n cons. Like people cats are individuals. Some cats like company. Some don’t. Honestly my thought is to get a puppy n a kitten together so they can be besties n it’ll be easier to harness n leash train a kitty that’s wants to hang with it’s dog ☺️ Or so it goes in my head anyways 😂

@@DestinyDiamond I'm allergic to cats to or so my doctor says but I have 9 cats that live outside and taking prescribed allergy meds and nothing has happened and I'm going to be putting a 2 week Simease kitten into my room we feed it soft kitten food because it's mom is young and don't like to feed it

I did not manage a foster care business. This was voluntary. In general I fostered and did not work at that time.

Thanks for your comment. I was in need of a hand free litter box because of pregnancy. It’s not recommended to handle litter during pregnancy, plus I liked the low maintenance. It just so happened that the company reached out to me and offered me this one for free, therefore, I did not need to pursue other high tech boxes any further. The only reason why I like this one is because at the time, litter robot didn’t and probably still doesn’t have one in white, and I liked that it matched everything in my room. (Sounds superficial but I think the liter robot is ugly) As far as the scented verses non, I’ve tried both & like both. The lavender can be overbearing even to me, but if you have good air circulation in your household (I don’t, I live in the basement unit) and if you live in a large home where the scent can travel, then the scented one may be worth it. The unscented came in handy when my neighbors attracted rats to their home. The rats can smell cat pee and it protects your home. So unscented has its benefits

@@DestinyDiamond Makes sense. I'd be picky as well with the colors if I had to spend $500+.. and I'm the same. I'm looking for the most convenient.. and the automated ones are definitely the way to go vs changing out litter boxes every so often. - Lavender: True.. if the place is ventilated enough it should be good.. but eliminating the scent of the poop/pee is critical too.. because I heard dogs like the taste of cat poop.. But it's what I read =/..

Hi! Yes, I am allergic to cats. Itchy eyes, slight cough at times, and hives. The first thing I did was try to reduce allergens in my home in general as to not trigger it in any way. Dusted often, vacuumed often, changed my bed sheets often. Next, I heard of some people dedicating a room where the cat doesn’t go. The bathroom was my “safe room.” I sometimes on occasion used allergy medication. I brushed her hair everyday. Reduces the amount of hair the cats get on your furniture. You also get a bit immune after a while. After my first few weeks I could put her on my face and nothing would happen. I would say if you’re allergies are severe, don’t attempt it. My little sister eyes get so puffy that her eyes shut closed and she can’t see out of them after being in my house for two hours. (But she’s also lived here before too for two months and it wasn’t that bad after a while)

From what I understand.. yes.. reducing the dander in the air.. preferably with a good HEPA Filter will try to keep the air free of it.. - also, brushing their hair frequently as you do.. - and from what I understand it's not actually the hair.. it's in their saliva called FEL D1 which is a protein complex in which some people are allergic to..some more than others and some not.. - I also heard about an immunotherapy.. but I don't know of anyone who has tried it.. something along the lines of taking shots in a duration period of time to lessen the allergic reactions. I'm very sorry you're going through itchy eyes, hives, etc.. - I keep wondering if I got a cat, would i eventually overcome this and my body would get used to it?? I'm not sure since everyone is different. - I agree with you in terms of foster a cat.. the "breakup" would be hard.. since cats are loving in nature.. If i'm fostering, it would turn into an adoption real quick!
