Had a run up to Glaisdale by the bridge yesterday and it was good to see fish showing I am definitely going to fish the Esk next season. Where can you purchase the day tickets for the stretch near Danby?
@barnfieldfishingАй бұрын
Danby sell tickets in the health shop in the village..can't miss it.

I think I saw you when I was walking over the bridge with my two Goldies! The youngun had been trying to get to you along the other bank to see if you had any maggots he loves them!

Really enjoyed watching. It would be good to hear a bit more about your set up. What sort of size and type of line , leader and fly set up. Didnt see any fancy dry fly powders or dessicants just a tissue brilliant simplicity. Did you put any floatant on leader. I saw you were using some sort of dry fly cdc. Was it a tapered 9ft leader to 5X perhaps. What length ( and model) of rod would you be using. It looks like a 9ft 6" #4 or #5. Your northern rivers look beautiful in winter. You're blessed from Derbyshire right up to the border. And some lovely salmon and seatrout fishing rivers too. Tight lines.

Hi ,thank you...I used these videos to diary my fishing mainly and to try put people to access fishing ..my rod is 9 .6 4 weight ..I used only 5 foot tapered leader to 9 foot leader.approx 4lb in old money.cdc flies vary but size usually 16 to 14.i used to use smaller but my eyes dictate now I'm afraid..tight lines .

A Bit off topic could you recommend any clubs too join on the tees for chub just done a full day down broken scar and caught absolutely nothing plenty off big grayling showing but void off chub I'm a little bit lost 😅

Stockton ,and thornaby .both have good water ..

Which clubs water is this? I know the bit below the bridge is Richmond but I know they only have the north bank at red house
@soultrader57fishingandmusi25Ай бұрын
Nice bit of sport! cracking bit of river up there! not the easiest fish to catch but they tolerate disturbance better than trout, its so odd that you can put dozens of casts out right over the shoal then suddenly get a positive take! then there's the one that rises at the end of your rod as you're trying to get a 30 yard cast up the river 🤣👍👍

Hi Keith, I've been watching your great vids re fishing the Esk. We will be in and around Whitby from 11 to 14 March next year. Can you tell me exactly where the free streches are between Lealholm and Egton Bridge, and any day ticket contact details. Thanks.

Some nice fishing there fella, i do the old sit on a rock and wait for a fish to rise myself, and there's plenty of big rocks to sit on in the Tees. Would love to live in one of those houses, everytime i fish there, i dream of those numbers coming in.

Looks a nice spot, was it my eyes or does that water have a blue tinge to it? Hoping to get out on our stretch of the Tees soon, it's been a horrible spring with all the water and the wind.
