I have seen couscous used, same with cream of wheat or corncob/walnut tumbling compound. I HATE plastic waste, and part of that extends to my reloading practices. I wish that more shooters considered the long term environmental impact they can have, especially for those shooting large amounts of trap, skeet or sporting loads. Waterfowl would be a likely hot-point with this, as those who hunt regularly or in larger volumes might be loading their own. While watching a video from Hull Cartridge on their manufacturing process recently, they mentioned biodegradable hulls. That made me realize that manufacturers CAN be at the forefront of environmental concerns, both for the good of the environment, as well as promoting quality product to use in said outdoor environments. I have no real beef with lead, as it is quite stable in its solidified form, even in nature. But the micro fragments that are eaten by fish and birds, that is another matter. Best wishes from Southern California, where we shoot all year round 🙂!

Im sorry... but the idea that conscripts not being used for assaults is just idiocy. 1940, Swedish volonteers to Finland who were former conscripts took part in a famous bayonet-charge. 90 Swedes vs 600 Russians. 10 dead Swedes. 200 dead Russians. In the Congo Crisis, 1960-1964, Swedish soldiers, drawn from conscripts, took part in difficult urban combat succesfully. In the 90s and the wars in Yugoslavia, the Swedish troops were known to bebthe most aggressive UN soldiers and opened fire on hostiles so often the Nordbat mission was known as Shootbat. Swedish tactics has always been aggressive and always put emphasis on assaults and closing with the enemy and engage at close range. So all this conscript bashing is pure BS. Swedish soldiers have proven themselves in combat from WW2 to modern times in Congo, Mali and Afghanistan.

Lee sixing dies are so much easier to get stuck cases removed. No special tools required.
@slotcarfan7 күн бұрын
I actually like the new Lee locking rings. For a few dollars you buy a small Lee spanner that easily fits in the tightest spaces. I use all Lee dies, if for no other reason their powder through expander die. Also, stuck cases are easily removed from their sizing die with nothing but a hammer and two wrenches. Using Lee I've made 20k plus rounds of aaccurate and reliable ammo.

It really is such a shame, its like the best patterns just tend to fade away often, i got started collecting and studying camouflage too late due to my age and thus missed a ton of patterns by a few years, concamo being the same, it just sorta disappeared before many people could get ahold of it. Same sorta thing with pencott patterns like greenzone, leatherneck, and devildog, and limited numbers of the other ones, aswell as some hyperstealth patterns. Such a shame so many great ideas get just dumped so often It feels like the craze around things like multicam and multi terrain patterns have really just taken the entire world by this point

Hopefully they've just taken a break from the civilian market and will return. Considering they don't seem like going out of business, they may eventually drop another supply of fabric. Otherwise, I'm screwed, since I basically standardized on the pattern, from apparel to gear like pouches and plate carrier.

It's a pity that this pattern isn't being produced anymore, it seems to be a better version of Multicam. And in a time where nearly everybody seems to be using Multicam or a a Multicam variant, it's refreshing to see something different.

It’s not. It’s more like a better version of Flecktarn or other woodland patterns. Contrary to hipster beliefs, Multicam is super popular because it is effective.

How did you know to add water? I had a problem with this product on a floor--poor colour consistency and uneven curing--and the owner was grumpy and no help at all and said everyone adds water to the mix. Neither the spec sheet nor the tins said to add water, so I did not, and am now trying to sort it out on my own after the fact since ASK is not interested.
@flecktarnuk355710 күн бұрын
We got the two part pack with a big tin and a little tin. The big tin has the pigmented paint and is only half full. The little tin has the (very viscous) epoxy which is clear. When the two are mixed together in the big tin, there is still about 1/3 to 1/4 empty space which you add the water to in order to mix. The instructions used to be located on the label of the big tin. Of course, if you mix it all together, you have to work with it within the curing time because we tried once mixing everything and hoping we could add another coat the next day, but we just had a big tray of solidified epoxy. So to do two coats like we did in the video, we had to estimate the ratios, but it worked well enough. Sorry to hear about your experience, but we've recoated a lot of times over worn out and slightly flaky bits of floor and it's pretty protective, even if the finish isn't as nice as if we would sand it all back and start from there.
@JosephDorje10 күн бұрын
@@flecktarnuk3557 Yeah, nowhere on either tin nor on the spec sheet does it say add water. I was hoping for some sort of contrition on the part of Mr ASK--I did everything they said and it didn't turn out, so my thinking is either the tins were wrong, or the product--but, no. Pure laser blast. Pity. Goodwill burned in my case at least.

Dillon states themselves that the alignment tool is not necessary on the 750, unlike the older 650 and 550C/B. In fact, they no longer send it to you if you have a warranty issue with the ring indexer assembly (which they will gladly send you).

This is particularly scary because you had mentioned, in your UK gun laws video, that people could be down range at 45 degrees? It makes dealing with a hang fire even more dangerous. I’m surprised you trusted that WW2 ammo. I guess you didn’t have a choice but I wouldn’t want a booby-trapped cartridge to blow up that close 😬

But the reasoning for the camouflage was because they had a conscript army. They didn’t want to get closer than 1 km from the enemy.

Alright I can’t do it. I know this is a year old and nobody’s gonna see this but come on. Your concerns about bringing this to different ranges is ridiculous. This is a single loaded weapon just don’t bring or load whatever rounds aren’t allowed on whatever range you are at. If a full bore rifle goes off at the rimfire range wtf were you doing putting a rifle cartridge in it at the rimfire range? Same thing shooting clays. God or evolution take your pick, gave you the one and only true safety and that’s between your ears…. Being fearful because the gun is capable of something is silly.

So, to help out further. Some artillery pieces use a casing, making the round look like a large bullet, whereas other artillery pieces will have the projectiles loaded separately from the powder charges. The casing also looks like it was cut in half. This might have been part of a rule for surplus or militaria that they have to be demilled, and rendered inoperable, and unable to restore to a certain extent. Artillery in the 150ish caliber, narrows down the field, with casing, narrows it down even more. Good luck.👍
