I love how this specific adaptation captures the ridiculousness and playfulness of the book. I was expecting a more serious story before reading the book but it was rather such a fun thing to read. It's like a lot of things happening at once and everything going wrong. The fact that some dialogues are also taken word by word from the book

A lot of these actors are not typically associated with comedies, and yet they pulled it off really well!

I am currently reading emma and this movie is almost perfect

Hands down the only modern/recent adaptation of an Austen novel that I actually LOVE. (I’m not speaking of anything made prior to 2010). I’ve seen all the other ones. Emma is also my least fave of all the Austen novels, but this. Adaptation. Was EXCELLENTLY done. ❤
