I keep trying to like this movie. But everytime I watch it, the less I like it.

I love how this specific adaptation captures the ridiculousness and playfulness of the book. I was expecting a more serious story before reading the book but it was rather such a fun thing to read. It's like a lot of things happening at once and everything going wrong. The fact that some dialogues are also taken word by word from the book

A lot of these actors are not typically associated with comedies, and yet they pulled it off really well!

Hands down the only modern/recent adaptation of an Austen novel that I actually LOVE. (I’m not speaking of anything made prior to 2010). I’ve seen all the other ones. Emma is also my least fave of all the Austen novels, but this. Adaptation. Was EXCELLENTLY done. ❤

Why can't writers just look at the genuine on screen chemistry that actors have and go off of that instead of forcing the love story from season 1 because "they have history" even tho it's soooooo boring

This whole fanbase has make all the characters gay in their minds. Straight people cant be just friends anymore. Everything has to have a romantic or sexual undertone. Very creepy

I grew up with the Gwyneth Paltrow Emma, and I wasn’t expecting much from this one, but I have not laughed so hard in a LONG time, especially not for a period drama! Even though I love the genre, it’s not typically known for its _hilarity_ 😂

Still thinking of mr. Elton's "joining Thiss man-eyes rotate to mr. Weston while the rest of him stays completely still-and Thisss woman-same to the other side- in holy matrimony" like what was that acting choice lmao

What I love about this version is knightly and Emma DO feel like actually friends, whereas others they almost feel paternal.
