I'm about 3 months in with my habaneros, 3/7 started budding the other day Wondering if I should cut the tops off two of the less developed ones for the experiment :D I've never grown anything before so I'm really excited

Hello. If You have long enough growing season, You can try. But unless that is the case I wouldn’t do it as it will prolong the time needed to set the fruit and therefore harvest.

Nice cabbage. I grow mine in a polytunnel but this year a whole lof to the hearts have turned mouldy and are covered with a grey white fungus, spoiling the outside of the heart. They aren't particulary spaced too close together but what causes this?
@Liap
@Liap Сағат бұрын
Hello. This is caused by restricted air circulation in the polytunnel. It allows the moisture to be retained on the plants for longer period of time, resulting in development of white mold on the plants. I recommend using row covers for cabbage instead. If it’s an early stage, You have a chance to treat it, but once the disease caused damage to the plants, using fungicide won’t be effective. Thank You very much 😊🍀

Clear, concise and not a lot of filler. I appreciate that in a good tutorial video. I have Pattys growing right now & Im glad I watched your video. Thabk you. I was wondering when my oregano can be harvested because i saw flower buds and got worried it was too late, but i noticed you harvested like that. I have a question. I hope you're gracious to answer. Im planning on making oregano oil. Do i use only the leafs or also the stems? Tha k you sir. By the way, where are the seeds? I can't seem to find any on the plant.
@Liap
@Liap 5 күн бұрын
Hello. Oregano can be harvested for spice (as I did) or it You can let it go to flower and harvest flowers to dry for tea. I think You can use both leaves and stems for oregano oil. When You let them go to flower, if pollinated, will become seeds.

Just planted my arugulas around 3 weeks ago! They're growing well. Most of them had grown quite a bit, around an inch and starting to show true leaves. Some had stopped growing and just sort of plopped and died. Is that normal? I live in Southeast Asia where summer just ended. Rainy season is starting and the temp is getting cooler. I'd appreciate any sort of tips!

@@09EmBeR90 Arugula do like colder weather, so that is good your weather is getting colder. But I wonder if the pot you're growing them in has drainage holes? You mention the rainy season, and you'll definitely need very good drainage so the plants don't rot sitting in water. They like about the same soil moisture as a wrung out sponge. A clay pot that is porous might be helpful in your rainy time, as the walls of the pot let more moisture escape. Just a thought!
@LL-oc1xw
@LL-oc1xw 3 күн бұрын
PS: When you said some "plopped and died" - that might be a fungus problem from all the moisture. Young plants are very prone to a fungus disease called "damping off disease" - basically overnight a healthy looking seedling just drops over. The part of the plant stem touching the soil line usually looks shrunken and wilted at that spot. I have found success using chamomile tea to water seedlings, as it somewhat prevents the fungus from being able to thrive.
@09EmBeR90
@09EmBeR90 Күн бұрын
@@LL-oc1xw ahh yeahh that could be a problem.. my arugula is in a plastic pot. A bit tall/deep of a plastic pot, unlike OP's shorter and wider pot. Maybe that's the problem? I also don't know if it is fungal disease since the other arugulas in the same pot haven't been affected
