Hey man we have meet a few times at duck creek, powe waterfall. You have got good content . There’s just not many people looking to watch spring bass fishing in late October!!
@joshuamcconkeyfishing18 күн бұрын
That is because all of my videos are 6 months old because i have 45 of them built up. Yeah i was just down at powe an hour ago. I wasted an hour drive just for it to be full of dead sticks. Was god awful. could not cast anywhere. All of my videos are 5 to 6 months old when i post them. During Covid, i got laid off for 6 months so i built up about 100 videos. I try to keep them around having an extra 40 to 50 nowadays for winter when i can hardly fish so i always have videos saved up

Yeah this spot was 9 straight days of fishing. Was my favorite part of the year for sure. Most smallmouth rivers have their own wintering holes where the fish do not leave, but in this creek they go downstream in November and then work their way back up in Early to mid March, but they could not get above that rapid. Made them easy targets

can you reccomend some good strip lakes for kayaks in pyramid state park illinois? (possibly lesser known/ not able to access with boat ramp ones too? ) thank you!!! you seem like you're very knowledgeable with the area.
@joshuamcconkeyfishing5 ай бұрын
i used to think going into the lesser known ones or with no boat ramp would be amazing, but what happens if they become overpopulated with 10 inch bass. There is scaup, which you have to drag canoe or kayak down a huge hill. You can catch 100 bass in just a few hours, but you will never see one over 12 inches. The older pyramid lakes there are many lesser knowns but the water is so clear it is next to impossible to catch anything. Try big beaver. You have to put in little beaver and paddle through 300 yards of a narrow 4 foot wide chute to get back to the big lake.
@ItchyGonadz-THC5 ай бұрын
@@joshuamcconkeyfishing thank you sir! I just went to Heron Lake on Friday, and I caught 10 keeper crappie 9-11inches. I did catch several small bass you were talking about, but did catch one keeper bass around 12inches. They were devouring an electric chicken paddle tail. I also tried glacier white and icy blue Bobby garlands, but not as much luck. First time there it was a success! I was thinking about trying beaver lake, and possibly spring lake. I love the area and will have to go back to explore more. There’s so many lakes tho lol, I didn’t realize it’s so big! Are there any decent camping areas? (Tent wise)

So there is catfish on the Little Black River? Where abouts can you find them at? We generally fish over at Mud Puppy and I've never seen none there, just was wondering where is the main area of the Little Black they're located. Also, is it only Bull Head Cats? I ask because I don't see Catfish listed on the Missouri conservation website as Catfish being a species on the Little Black? Love your videos and hope to see you guys out sometime. We're semi new to the area, the wife and I bought a house over here in Doniphan about 2 years ago and moved over here from the Bernie/Dexter area because we would drive down to Mammoth Springs to fish Spring River for Trout and Doniphan was the half way point for us. 😂

Oh nice. I think I found the spot you're at in this video on M highway the other day but there was no parking signs everywhere and everything looked private,😂 my wife and kid were sketched out. So, did you get the hook out of your hand at the end of this video or did you need to go to the hospital?
@joshuamcconkeyfishing6 ай бұрын
Supposedly there was a wreck or something bad happened at the bridge that created all the signs. Someone died i do believe. People were just parking right on the bridge and too many people. Something or someone always ruins a good spot anymore

How far upriver and smaller creeks do yellow bass run away from the Cumberland during peak.. for instance, can you catch yellows in the wider parts of spring creek just east of I-24, or Sulpher Creek near Adams
@joshuamcconkeyfishing7 ай бұрын
They go just about one mile above where fletchers fork meets little west fork. On the main red i have caught them at port royal, but not anywhere further up. Sulpher fork they would probably go in, but would hit a road block at the old mill dam above there
