This video was incredibly informative. More so than anything else I used to prepare to travel. Last minute I ordered a Sturdibag (after my Shih Tzu was not acclimating to another carrier that was closer to airline requirements ). He took advantage of more room in Sturdibag but still was not happy about being in the carrier. Also your tip to sit in the back of the plane was a good one for tolerance of dog noise. And I am ordering the Fast Pass before my next flight as I had my hands full going through security with a dog off leash and grabbing my luggage. Thank you!! I can’t express enough my gratitude for all of this information.

I am totally saving this video. I wrote down alot of notes for my upcoming trip. Right after you said check the rental car, I paused the video and called. I am flying first class on Alaska airlines and it's good to note they only allow 1 pet in the first class area. I totally didnt even think about having photos of the carrier in my folder. Totally adding that to my list. Excellent video.

The Bob-a-Lot should include a funnel. And I can see using it more as a treat dispenser rather than for feeding. I know I would get frustrated using it for my food. Although it would make a good “lose weight device”😀. I like your presentation.

My family is going on vacation and we always take our dogs, because we usually drive. I don't know if the hotel we are staying at allows pets. I don't want to be one of those people that certify their pet as an ESA to get it on the flight for free. Do you have any tips for flying with a regular pet?

I just have a few questions.... I have a 5 month old Aussipom. Who is currently a HUGE help to me, mentally. I understand ESA’s don’t have public access rights... but what if you NEED emotional support in order to go into a store and buy things and be able to talk to people about what you need. I guess my main question is, what if you would need the assistance of the dog in heavily crowded areas. Small settings don’t bother me, but Wal-Mart, festivals, etc... how would I go about training him? What are the costs on that? Would I be able to????
@DogPawBlog5 жыл бұрын
You may consider training your dog as a psychiatric service dog. Think of a few tasks that your dog could do that would help mitigate your conditions. Check out psychdogpartners.org they have lists of tasks and training help

Thank you! We have a 12-year-old Chin - she's awesome! Picked up some really good tips from this video, especially about trimming the feet. Also, we've left her in full coat but I think I will move away from that to something like you've done with Cupcake (who is a very, very good boy!) Thanks again!

Very nice video. If my regular doctor prescribed an ESA, not a psychiatrist or mental professional, is this legally adequate to support fair housing requirements? Also, my dog bit several people in the building. Will this be a basis for denial of housing? Do I have to disclose my animal before or after signing a lease with no pet policy? Thanks so much!
@DogPawBlog5 жыл бұрын
Hi. I am not familiar with the requirements for fair housing ( I live in pet-friendly housing). One thing to keep in mind, if your dog bites, you could face legal issues if there is any injury or report made. The letter/ ESA status wouldn’t exempt you. See if you are able to find the legislation in your state regarding fair housing in regards to keeping an ESA.

How are you not showing us how you're making the beeps???? How do you turn the thing on??
@DogPawBlog5 жыл бұрын
Sorry. I made the beeps by blowing into the censor. The censor picks up on the vibration on the dog’s vocal chords. The only way to turn the collar off is to remove the batteries. There is no off switch.
@DogPawBlog5 жыл бұрын
Continued: It turns on as soon as the batteries are installed.
