I often find myself coming back to this video for its raw camp vibe-it never fails to inspire me. It takes me back to the thrill of collaborating with Calvin for the full-blown version at the Vancouver Olympic Opening Ceremonies. Every time I get to work with Calvin, it's a dream come true.

Calvin just nailed this tune 100%. The backup fiddlers did superb as well. What a performance. 5 Stars.
@mosrite6023 күн бұрын
Those backup fiddle players really had to know their stuff. Had to read their part without mistakes for a tune not known that much. But it all came together for sure. Under the guidance of Calvin. Who else could pull this off. Not many. Perhaps some big city symphony.

Great tune. Yes Bev Munro perhaps the best morning DJ ever, CFCW.

Great sounding orchestra. That's how it should sound. Faron Young would certainly be proud.

My grandparents came from Parry Sound and Callendar Ontario, in the early 1900’s. Maybe we’re related. Their names were Paul & Emma Vollrath. They moved to the west in the late 1800s or early 1900. I’ve played music near your town.

i wish that you played some traditional tunes
@calvinvollrath56163 ай бұрын
Hello @johndeere1174. I understand your desire to hear traditional tunes. The reason we play originals is two-fold; 1) I have the backing tracks to my own music which I do not necessarily have for the traditionals 2) When you post material other than your own copyrighted material, You Tube scowls at that and takes it down. So in order to offer these sessions, it only makes sense to feature the tunes for which I have the right to play. Thank you for tuning in and I do hope you appreciate all the new material being featured in these episodes.
