I have been roofing for Fifty plus years and still going strong. In my opinion this plastic totally cheapens the look of any roof, in two years when it has faded it looks even worse. A properly done sand and cement gable is the only way.

Should be named WakaStiff It’s far from that flexible to use at ease like this footage here. end results also isn’t great even if all goes well applying the product. This is from experience using this product on many occasions

Hi ive installed this and it works really well. The only thing is i really don't like the open end at the eaves (1:58 in the video) just looks unfinished to me. Are there any plans to make verge end caps?

What screw sizes are you using to attach the verge and is it better to install a facia board first before installing this or after Thanks

What about the barge boards ?
@BRI999SY10 ай бұрын
Not all properties have them. Just overhang a little bit more. So this guy said 30mm but if you had a 20mm barge board then you would overhang 50mm. Hope that makes sense

Hi. Can this kit be used on straight sided ridge tiles (triangular shaped ones) as opposed to rounded? Also, what is the width of the roll please? Many thanks

Interested in the in line vent but what happens when it rains and water droplets collect through the vent holes? What happens to stop it leaking into the roof space?

hi , could i ask , what size of roll out rafter tray should i go with ? will be having 300 mm woll insulation on the ceiling, and 90 mm kingspan between rafters. Thank you
@KloberLtd2 жыл бұрын
Hi Andrei, It depends on the roof pitch but as its job is to ensure a passage for ventilation is maintained it is important to ensure it bypasses the finished height of the loft insulation. 600mm is our most popular size but please contact technical if you want to discuss further: 03306780088

I used this kit 4 years ago and I found the screws really let the kit down, the screw heads couldn’t stand up to 18v impact driver, I was using the correct bit & it was new, so the only fault lied with the screw it self. Which is a shane as you mentioned the roll is high quality and better then competition rolls even the plastic bands are thicker.

How important is it to overhang underlay over the gable ends? I am doing a shed roof and I left an overhang at first but then in my infinite wisdom, decided to cut it level with the ends.
@KloberLtd2 жыл бұрын
Hi, This is generally a requirement of the British standards and should be seen on mainly all verge details where it drops just slightly below the outerskin of the wall. This helps to ensure the underlay is completely covering the cavity wall and helps to prevent anything tracking underneath the underlay and inside. For a Shed roof, technically a non habitable space and non cavity wall, the severity of this wouldn't really be known and not applicable to building standards but for general detailing purposes following this process and lapping it over the edge would be best. I hope this helps. For any additional support, please contact our Technical Department on 03306 780 088
