I once worked on board an old freight like Shieldhall. The navigation bridge looks almost the same . Our master want all the brass to be polished every morning

Hi,looks good now it as come back up north Bahamas it brings back memories of my time on the footplate 8yrs on steam 50yrs on the footplate I started at edgeley shed in 1961 in 1962 I was made a fireman I finished my time out at longsight as a driver Regard Phil.

Doh, thought we were gonna get a flypast whistle for a moment, but hey! Shame to know days are numbered so the rumour goes, but hey, lets hope another well known engine will be ready soon to take it's place :-p (wink).

According to wiki, boiler ran out in March 2019 but was given a 12 month extension, so that'll be when she goes to join the Marquess in the retirement home :-( No rushing on No 7 though!!! and atleast no 19 is still around, albeit in a queue awaiting her major overhaul.

They ran out of water, that's why the stop at Overton was needed. If they had a Diesel with them, they could have made it to Andover.
