Thanks for sharing. Unfortunately this tune stiffed in the US. Should have been a hit. Always have liked this record. So AM radio friendly.

Great song. He had a great voice. I don’t like the rude audience members who are talking, some quite loudly. Disrespectful to the musicians.

When l was 13 in 1963, me and a couple of friends scored some tickets to see the Rolling Stones at Birmingham Town Hall. They were touring on their third released song which was Not Fade Away. The Barron Knights were the opening act, bet they have never played before bigger audiences before. Strange combination though.

Lyrics Im moving down this lonely road, with this heavy head low Im feeling sad and oh so lonely Im heading down this dusty track, aint quite sure if ill be back But sure i am that i feel lonely Cause i left her down in twosome with a tear upon her cheek Cause she tried so hard to bed me, she was much too choked to speak And because i couldnt face her i just turned and walked away I just couldnt stand to hear the words 'i want you so to stay' Im moving down this lonely road, with this heavy head low Im feeling sad and oh so lonely Im heading down this dusty track, aint quite sure if ill be back But sure i am that i feel lonely When i get back home to phoenix, and the kids come rushing out With their hands up to their daddy, and i hear their momma shout Hello john, its good to see you! Welcome home, how have you been? Are you tired from the journey? Well dont worry, come on in Im moving down this lonely road with the heavy head, with this heavy head low Im feeling sad and oh so lonely Im heading down this dusty track, aint quite sure if ill be back But sure i am that i feel lonely And i guess its bound to happen once to every travelling man He will meet another who could make him change his pland Make him wonder if the love he knows is really quite so real Make him wonder if theres feelings that hes yet to really feel Im moving down this lonely road, with this heavy head low Im feeling sad and oh so lonely Im heading down this dusty track, aint quite sure if ill be back But sure i am that i feel lonely When it hits you youre not sure about the people that you know Youre not sure about the future, about what way you wanna go Then you think about the kids, and what the kids will think of you And it suddenly becomes quite clear just what you gotta do Im moving down this lonely road with this heavy head low Im feeling sad and oh so lonely Im heading down this dusty track, aint quite sure if ill be back But sure I am that I feel lonely

I believed you when you said, while you might be far away Your loving me would just get better, youd write a letter everyday But oh my joe, whyd you say it? Thats not the way that you play it, I know youd say thats the way it goes But not with my heart Oh my joe, whyd you do it? I guess my heart always knew it But im not the last to go through it though But youre not so smart, ive still got my heart joe No one could have loved me more - even with my funny face Now those words come back to me, you said id never leave that face But oh my joe, whyd you say it? Thats not the way that you play it, now i know youd say thats the way it goes But not with my heart Oh my joe, whyd you do it? I guess my heart always knew it Im not the last to go throught it though But you aint so smart, ive still got my heart joe You aint so smart, still got my heart joe oh my joe, whyd you say it? Love me love my dog Have me sleeping like a log on a sunday Let me play my radio, loud so all the neighbours close their windows Love me, love my feet Let me taste my coffee sweet on sunday Let me take a day off work sometime when the footballer games on a monday That aint a lot to ask, i dont think so You got a nice face, and both of your eyes are blue You got a small nose, i think i love you Before you move your suitcase in and sign to seal your fate You and i must get a few things straight Love me love my dog Have me sleeping like a log on a sunday Let me play my radio, loud so all the neighbours close their windows Love me, love my feet Let me taste my coffee sweet on sunday Let me take a day off work sometime when the footballer games on a monday That aint a lot to ask, i dont think so That aint a lot to ask, I dont think so Love me love my dog Have me sleeping like a log on sunday Let me play my radio loud so all the neighbours close their windows Love me love my feet Let me taste my coffee sweet on a sunday Let me take a day off work sometime when the football games on sunday

these guys lasted for years in the pubs and nightclubs, outlasted many of the famous groups they were imitating, probably all gone now or retired bless em - though I now they were all working till relatively recently. talented send up of the times ,other groups liked them.
