How do you have a dual recoil spring? I just picked one up and had to buy a single spring kind of like the Glock, but mine is an sig oem spring for the x macro.

I’m with you brother 😂 I got my Bailey 3 gun foreend December 2023. The instructions make it seem very easy to install. Wrong! It took about an hour to install. I did not remove the two pieces that you did. It is very tricky getting the barrel aligned on the bolt carrier. After several tries everything fell into place and the barrel and forend slid into place. I’m not sure if you noticed, there is a rubber spacer where the mag tube hole is at the top that you removed. The spacer fell off and did I did not notice it until I got everything assembled and notice there was a little movement. So you guessed it, I had to remove the foreend and barrel again😂. It appears to have had some type of adhesive that obviously failed . When you get a chance please redo another install video. Thanks.

So I had purchased the same barrel 6 months ago as a secondary for my spectre comp. I recently installed it and it is very tight in the slide it’s hard to rack and won’t always go into battery. But I have no shot it yet I’ve read it will break in. Have you experienced any of this?
@CDCLLC
@CDCLLC 6 күн бұрын
@@AndrewS1989 is it not going into battery when you “ease” the slide closed? Or is it not going into battery when you pull the slide all the way back and let the slide SLAM closed? If it’s the latter (SLAM) closed, that’s an “out of spec” issue and it needs to be sent back. If it’s not going into battery if you’re slowly, easing the slide forward, you need to let it slam. That’s usually a break-in issue. Hope this makes sense
@AndrewS1989
@AndrewS1989 6 күн бұрын
Yes you are correct it’s only when I ease it. But when I go to remove the barrel it’s pretty stuck in the slide takes some force to break free. I will try it out I just don’t want to damage anything but I should be fine. Thank you 😎

For what it is worth... This mod worked very well for me . Found a an Advantage Arms 22 LR conversion kit for a Gen 3 Glock 17. I did exactly what the video says in terms of parts polishing. In addition I noticed the feed ramp on the barrel had a burr on it near the bottom. Removed it and polished the feed ramp. First try at the range it worked and worked wonderfully. I started with CGI 40 Grain Round nose exactly what Advantage Arms suggested. No problems. Much to my surprise it also shot Federal Copper Plated Hollow points. No problems. I can't say for other types of ammo as those are the only two 22 LR loads I had. Thanks for the advice in the video. The "Eat Anything" mod worked for me.

The "eat anything" mod allows me to run hollow points pretty consistently. Sometimes the hollow point gets "crushed" and there's a failure to feed, but most of the time they work. Winchester hollow points have been the ones i've been using most recently.

Thanks for the compliment/comment! Helps with the algorithm. ;) I agree, the ammo is what really kills it for me. Ammo prices are much better than when it was just FN making ammo and guns. So does the ejector have a roll pin? If you punch it out can you reuse the same pin? I see on their site. They have a replacement kit that includes a new pin,,, I wanted to polish it, but I’m afraid of damaging the pin
@CDCLLC
@CDCLLC 17 күн бұрын
Do you mean the “extractor”? If so, It would probably be a good idea to get a new pin. I believe it's a "split" pin and TECHNICALLY, once those have been used, they're "Deformed" and don't hold as well when you re-use them. That being said, your mileage may vary and you could probably re-use it. You can polish all the other stuff with the exception of the extractor and see how that works out for you. Save the extractor polish as a "last resort".
@DjRayRay09
@DjRayRay09 17 күн бұрын
@@CDCLLC thank you for the input and I agree I don’t think it’s necessary for me to polish the extractor, I did polish everything else up especially the barrel and it does seem like it made a huge difference I’m going to go test it out today. I'm pretty upset over these mag conversions. I tried these and ran about 200 rounds through them with no problem. Lead, FMJ and JHP, no problem. I went out last weekend and the hollow point scoops into the bottom of the feed ramp, damaging the feed ramp and 100% hanging up after each shot. That means these mags are range toys, not for serious or defensive use.
