thank you so very much especially the lap zipper which is about halfway through. Save your dental floss on an empty spool and store with your thread for next time. Use paper over top of gathering. pressure foot behaves well.

I usually sew over my gathers with a regular stitch before putting the waste band on. It helps keep the gathers together like I want them.
