Hi I have a school project and I need to make a leg brace I was wondering if you had any helpful tips on how to get started
@mphou243 жыл бұрын
Just thinking out loud. I would probably create 2 planes in reference to the top plane, and then sketch ellipses on each of the 3 planes. Then, maybe use a loft feature to connect the ellipses and use the shell command to cut out excess material. I don't know how much detail you want, but you can play around with different cuts or angles when you get the overall shape. Hope that helps.

I didn't put any material on it, but the weight is 24.90 grams. I didn't hollow it.

Thank you so much for the video. I'm working on my hip implant research and your video really helped me design a model. Is there any chance you can make a acetabular section that goes with this femur? Either way I really appreciate you doing this
@mphou244 жыл бұрын
Nice! Glad I can help! As for making an acetabular section, I'm not sure I can make it. I tried making a knee implant for a previous comment, but it's kind of hard to do by just looking at pictures... If you can send me a link to a good detailed picture (preferably a front, side, top, and maybe an isometric view?), or sketch on paper what it should look like, I can try it. I can't make any promises though...

Hi Ben, my professor brought in a hip implant to show us in class. I used a ruler to measure it. It's not exact. The video was just to show students some of the basics in using SolidWorks.
