Not bad, but disappointed in comparison to several Buck Bucklite versions. They just exude better quality.

Could you please state what you used to resharpen this knife with? Along with the angle degree & stone grit(s)? What is your ideal angle degree to resharpen most knives so that they take a strong lasting edge?
@BicycleBoots2 жыл бұрын
Sorry for (very) late response! I've got wetstones grit 1000 and grit 3000. If you keep your knife in shape that's enough. I've got some diamondcoated ones for rougher work but never use them. As for the angle, unless your knife has completely lost its edge I stick to following the original angle.

The only thing i dont like is the pin construction so i cant tighten up the blade

i heard the bantam blw has a tendency to unlock when you put to much pressure on the blade. is it the same with the bantam bbw?
@flowerfire72 жыл бұрын
Any back lock knife even gerber scout knife unlocks when pressed or hitting it but for that purpose are fixed blades these are good for fruit knives not for wood cutting

It has made in the USA on it. But the box states: U.S. made of US and import parts.
@BicycleBoots11 жыл бұрын
Probably not, I would imagine you need a longer, curved knife for that kind of job.
@stugt11 жыл бұрын
Does the blade have China stamped on it ? Because I think if the blade has stamped Buck only on the blade then it will also have China ,but your one has Buck USA , which is the one made in USA , I would like to no cos I won't buy china rubbish , thanks

is this a good knife for skinning deer?
@millwrightman9912 жыл бұрын
Agreed as you say better than nothing . A pocket clip might make it a bit more palatable .I still use mine on a daily basis but the jiggling in my pocket is starting to bother me . Thats the only reason I stopped carrying my Swiss army knife .One of these days I'm going to install a pocket clip on that knife .. I got to say it feels better in hand than their small Vantage and opens easier to boot .
@shawnlizeleatherdale40523 жыл бұрын
265 has the pocket clip. Looks almost the same
@BicycleBoots12 жыл бұрын
Well, my message was basically this: it's better than nothing in a defensive role but if you absolutely want that (defensive) capability this knife isn't for you.
@millwrightman9912 жыл бұрын
I agree with your views in general , but really you can't knock it because of its defensive use capability , It has zero use in a defensive role , it's only purpose is exactly as you stated at the beginning .opening boxes and letters and those nasty vacuum shrink wraps . If you need a dual purpose knife get a Spyderco Tenacious .now that one is very affordable and can inflict some damage if the need arises . I have both knives and I carry this one more often , just because of the low crime rate.
