What if I decide to only have 1 package for 5 different parsing schema. Do I need to use the same technique here that you used or should I use "ALTER SET CURRENT_SCHEMA" every time I switch?

I think you’ll need the grant and synonym as explained on the repo “Install” section github.com/rimblas/ocd-table-reorderer#install

@JorgeRimblas
@JorgeRimblas 3 жыл бұрын

Thank you very much for this post! Your example works great with a desktop computer and a mouse. Do you have an example for touch? Since APEX 18.1 there are some new touch features within APEX.
@JorgeRimblas
@JorgeRimblas 3 жыл бұрын
I do not, but I suspect the solution is fairly straightforward, either some CSS classes or by adding hammer.js events
@tobiasdorig3271
@tobiasdorig3271 3 жыл бұрын
@@JorgeRimblas Thank you for your reply. Touch events are already integrated in APEX 20.2 (tap, press, swipe, etc.). So it's easy to spot a press event. Unfortunately, I lack the experience in dealing with CSS to know what to do with it. I'll have a look around the web: o)
@JorgeRimblas
@JorgeRimblas 3 жыл бұрын
@@tobiasdorig3271 I don't know why I didn't think about it. Look at my OCD Re-orderer app. I switched to SortableJS. It was easier and to use and it handles the touch events better. rimblas.com/blog/2020/06/the-ocd-table-column-re-orderer/

how do we send blob to apex.server.process
@JorgeRimblas
@JorgeRimblas 3 жыл бұрын
I think the best approach is to use plugins. Look at the CLOB plugins (you'll need to convert a blob to base64). On that approach, take a look at apex.server.chunk which will split a long string into smaller 8000 chunks and then you can pass that fnn array with apex.server.proces. Finally, sometimes collections can help there's a p_clob001 and a p_blob001

Jorge, It appears that your Decent Tamp Cradle holds your portafilter up and level w/o you holding it. With mine, the handle drops down from its weight and so I have to hold it up through the process. Quite annoying. Is this an optical illusion, or does your cradle somehow hold your PF level? Thanks
@JorgeRimblas
@JorgeRimblas 3 жыл бұрын
It sure does hold on it’s own, and I love it, but the real reason is the Decent Funnel which is fairly heavy. decentespresso.com/funnel

@@JorgeRimblas Awesome, thanks for the reply! Good video of the PF with pretty much perfect flow, and cortado is my choice as well. Did you use one of the standard DE profiles for this shot?
@JorgeRimblas
@JorgeRimblas 3 жыл бұрын
@@johnwilliamson9453 it was pretty close to a standard profile. But I did make some changes. All the profiles are supposed to be a guideline. As it's trivial to move the slider one way or another and adjust. A little bit here and a little bit there. You taste and adjust if you think something could be better. For example, I love this Malabar Gold coffee that "likes it" hotter than most. But it doesn't do well with long extractions. So I may decline pressure faster or loosen up the grind to get a faster flow.

Hi Jorge, what do you think about the DE1PRO after more than one year of having it and using it?
@JorgeRimblas
@JorgeRimblas 4 жыл бұрын
As if today it's more than two years of ownership. My machine has been solid and I love the consistency I get. I love the quick warm-up time (4 min). I love the quality of the steam, but I do wish it was stronger (new models are stronger). It would be nice to steam and brew at the same time, but the only time it's a problem for me is when I entertain making several drinks at a time. I've also learned A LOT about making espresso and surprisingly that knowledge does translate to other machines. All an all, I'm very happy and I would buy it again

@@JorgeRimblasmany thanks for the comments. I have a ECM Classika Machine for almost 3 years. It is a very good machine, but I'm considering the different extraction profile the Decent offers. Do you think the Baratza Vario would work well with the Decent - i'm considering the Niche Zero Gringer (my first choice would be the Lagom P64, but due to costs and tax (I live in Brazil), niche is my first non very expensive choice.
@JorgeRimblas
@JorgeRimblas 4 жыл бұрын
@@felipejacknogueira many many Decent owners are very happy with the Niche Zero. It's a very good pairing with the DE machines as it offers reproducible results at a good value. I had the Baratza Vario with my DE. If you're going to stay with the same coffee for several days the Vario is a good grinder. I got frustrated with it because mine could not consistently go from one coffee bean to another. It would take many shots to get it there. The Niche and Langom on the other hand can reliably switch between two with no issues. You'll be fine with the vario, but you may get frustrated.
@felipejacknogueira
@felipejacknogueira 4 жыл бұрын
@@JorgeRimblas I already have some but minor issue with the Vario. I say it is a bit crazy. Most coffee requires a macro setting in 2 and change the micro setting as dial it in. If something happens and changes the macro to 3, I do have to grind some coffee until it turns back to 2 again. And there is a minor variation in micro setting but I cannot complain. As I have a couple of beans in the freezer, I have a notepad in which I write the grind setting I used. So when I make that coffee again I use the note as guide. Honestly, I cannot complain about consistency, even though it definitely is not perfect. There is a minor issue with retention. You should post more videos about the Decent and how you choose the initial profile for each coffee! Cheers!
