The amount of awesome tools available is mind boggling. As a main dealer technician I can safely say that we have none of them . We have a mini ductor by sykes pikavant that the unenlightened that I work with have destroyed.

Greetings from Bulgaria. I changed those two solenoids and the car is better,but again going to limp mode on a acasion. I checked the signals on the solenoid. The brown one(left) is suspicious. The negative is up and down. How I can check the turbo for over boost and ECU maybe from there to shut this solenoid off? Thank you for sharing the knowledge,you make the world better place.

I have a "Fuel rail over pressure" P0088 fault and a reduction in fuel flow back to the saddle tank leaving the feed side empty. The metering valve and pressure relief seem to be working but I'm wondering if a rail pressure sensor can give out the wrong reading and the ecu will adjust another component to reduce fuel affecting the return flow

Well you gotta laugh at some dodgy busness !!! I would like to ask if my Golf key fob lock/unlock button transmitts directly with this drivers door central locking mech. Or are other electronic units involved on a Golf Mk6?

Simple diagnosis I got 61 plate astra 1.7 cdti my is hard starting lil misfire on tick over and the dieasel seams to go down faster black smoke from exhaust and it vibrates at low rms if ur in a higher gear

That's good diagnostic work! I'm a vehicle tech in wales, I had a similar fault with a mini cooper, 5v sensor 1 in the DME was shut off, the throttle pedals had shorted out, worst thing was it tool out all the sensors on the 5v reference 1 circuit! Crazy! Luckily it didn't Damage the actuator in the dme 🙈

Completely understand what you're doing but why are you putting 12v down a 5v signal wire? Surely youd use that known good 5v supply at the plug & not force 12v down it 😂😢

There's no need to get the DPF cleaned in this instance. If you check the list of DPF regens (last 16 are stored) you will see lised the reason the regen failed. in this instance will be a faulty exhaust back pressure sensor (NOT the same as the differential pressure sensor) and once the fault code is stored the car will not perform a regen. Putting a new EBP (part B60) sensor in and clearing the fault is all that's needed to start the regen process.

Bugger! Tried this with my Twintop, bud sadly, it’s not worked as the fuse is fine! Think I have another issue entirely, as I can’t lock the car at all now, but could before. It’s keyless entry and start too and before it would even start, but would lock! Now it will start, but won’t lock 😂 I hate modern cars with a passion 😅
