The only way to get access to the releases of the month before you sign up is to purchase them from their Myminifactory.com store. Most creators give a 50% discount to their past releases as long as you're a member though. Hope this helps!

I have purchased a good number of 3D printed models from various producers on-line. Some are better than others. I did buy the GW Bretonnian starter box and felt it was of good value. Some troop types are currently out of stock and that is why I ordered 3D prints. In addition, some of the GW figures are just too expensive. $20 each for the Grail Knights and Mounted Yeomen is ridiculous. Especially, when the horses are plastic. I purchased Highland Miniatures 3D prints instead.
@proxyhobby24 күн бұрын
Highland Miniatures make some excellent sculpts. GW isn't making it easy to field and army for The Old World, it's almost like the game came out just for everyone that already have Fantasy Battles armies...

Is there one best for FDM printing? I have an x1carbon and an A1 mini.
@proxyhobbyАй бұрын
To be honest, I'm really not sure. I have never printed a mini on an FDM printer. I use my FDM for terrain and props and stuff. I do know that FDM printers are getting a lot better at printing minis but I just haven't done the research. Sorry! Good luck though!!

How long would you typically say they take to dry? I’m wondering if I even need to buy a wash and cure tank if I use this resin
@proxyhobbyАй бұрын
It doesn't take too long to dry, maybe an hour or so, then I usually let it sit overnight to cure. You can usually start to tell when it's cured by the way it feels when you handle the mini. I have printed hundreds of resin miniatures and I do not have a wash and cure station. I do use warm water (water washable) to help with supports and use a tooth brush to kind of brush each on in the water. I do the same when not using water washable, still use warm water for the supports then move to ISO for the washing part. All minis air dry and sit out to cure. Hope this helps!!

Of course this an older video. But there are tons of great quality companies who make stl files. It’s tough to see or say who is the best since that is subjective. I’d rate it as best for you. But everyone has different tastes What I’d say is best is: Variety Quality Price Sales Feedback Community involvement Support Creativity Velrock is a great company that allows an easy experience in blender to mix and repose minis.

Thanks for sharing! I'm new with printing miniatures. I've downloaded the free samples from Loot Studios. They have a version of their miniatures in native Lychee format. With Lychee I was able to adjust the size of their supports I was feeling to be right. I've also reorganized the supports using the Lychee gird support feature. You are right, Loot Studios is very conservative with their supports, especially for the 32mm miniature. But once adjusted, they still all printed very well. I've to try the other companies you have mentionned.

Awesome video!!!! am a huge fan of Warhammer Fantasy and recently, I have become fascinated by 3D printing. The idea of being able to bring my favorite retro minotaurs to life in a larger scale is absolutely thrilling. The old school minotaurs hold a special place in my heart, and seeing them come to life in a bigger form would be a dream come true. I can already envision the intricate details and fierce poses of these mighty creatures, and the thought of being able to physically hold them in my hands is incredibly exciting. It's amazing how technology has advanced to the point where we can turn our imagination into reality, and I cannot wait to see how these retro minotaurs will turn out in a larger scale.

Archvillains, Loot and Lord of the print(actually rescale miniatures) are my usual ones, Archvillains its top quality and you receive a lot of stuff, Loot have an unique and high detailed style based on well know franchises, with cool props and a lot of scenery, and LotP its my fix one every month cause they design wonderful miniatures and the best dragons, and also they give you a lot of value for 10 dollars, some armies have over 140 figures(with variations), also I would recommend Flesh of Gods if you like dark tematic( nothing to envy to Bestiarium) with awesome miniatures, and I would recommend Crippled God Foundry and Dragon Trapper's Lodge, all of them excellent.

I just got myself be'lakor from a shop in the UK called element games as its cheaper than getting from GW. That said its still not cheap. I dont have a 3D printer and tbh getting someone to print me one of these isn't that much cheaper than just buying be'lakor. Usually models like this go for 50+ ( I often see them more in line with 70 ) and shipping so its barely cheaper most of the time. My favourite Esty seller also sadly does not do this model, they usually are very cheap compared to others and the quality is still top tier. Not sure if I should get a 3D printer tbh, I am worried about messing up my prints all the time, but I do love painting minis and its cheaper to just print them in the long run, especially since I play DND and need loads of them to keep campaigns interesting. Btw awesome paint job.
@proxyhobby4 ай бұрын
Thanks for the feedback!! Sorry I'm finally getting back to you, I was on vacation! I think in your case a 3d printer would do you wonders for both Warhammer and dnd! The printers coming out these days are getting better and better, almost plug and play. In my opinion, the biggest considerations for 3d printing are 1. do you have a place that you can put it. Ventilation is important and temperature is important. 2. Are you willing to take on another hobby. I found that even though 3d printing has come a long way and it doesn't take a lot of work to get good prints, it's still kind of becomes its own hobby. Good luck! I can't blame you for picking up the actual Belakor model, it's awesome! I would love to paint it! lol

@proxyhobby4 ай бұрын
Just a heads up, many of the miniatures in my video aren't actual Heroscape miniatures, many are 3d printed or miniatures from other companies that I made my own Heroscape rules for, which is also an option! You'll still need to pick up some terrain though if you already have some miniatures you want to use.

@@proxyhobby Hi . I am new to Heroscape. If I want to create a new hero how do I build his stats . Is there some rules to follow for creating a proxy character? Thanks
@proxyhobby2 ай бұрын
@@brunoduchesne6663 No, I don't really follow any rules. They are only being used within my gaming community so I don't necessarily need to balance things. My group is more narrative based so I'm more a DM than an opponent which gives me some leeway. I do try an come up with a points value for each custom figure though, which is difficult but not impossible.

As cool as most of those companies are, I almost immediately turn away when I find out they don’t have their own website. My mini factory is so disorganized and confusing. I like knowing how to immediately find what I’m looking for instead of weeding thru everything I don’t need. That’s why Loot reigns in my book. That being said, if all of these companies decided to do their own website, I’d subscribe to them all 😂

I really appreciated the video and I congratulate you but I disagree with the ranking which, obviously, is subjective. For me LootStudios is the best, followed by Rescale miniatures (formerly Lord of the Print)...then there is an abyss. As a dungeon master the miniatures of these two creators are the best, much more realistic and detailed. The other creators are probably more appreciated by those who play Warhammer, also for their less realistic style (Warcraft style)...
