great video. How was the customer service. Did you check in a bag> Were they strict with the weight
@deltaalphaaviation1Ай бұрын
Thankyou, and customer service was good, it is just very tight and constraint but the staff handle it well. I checked in 2 bags, the second one full of souvenirs. From memory I had 26kg of allowance I believe, but when I weighed it it didn't even come close to it. But yes I am guessing they are very strict on it.

@@deltaalphaaviation1 QR , just like ET have been applying for landing rights and are still waiting for a yes answer. BA too serves Mauritius. But then how does one define 'largest airline'? By fleet, revenue, pax load, number of destinations served???

@@NAVIN-rl3wg Really? I actually didnt know that. But again there are many criterias to define the largest airline/s in the world like you mentioned - fleet, revenue, destinations / countries served etc... Nicely done, I was thinking before I read your description, I wonder how often they use the A330s on this route, guess it comes down to demand and supply, more need for PER to SYD. Was it a full flight?
@deltaalphaaviation15 жыл бұрын
I have noticed a slight pattern (I may not be 100% right) but on Fridays and Saturdays and sometimes Sundays, the A330 is used for the outbound VA469 flight from PER-BNE and return as VA470 or VA474 on the inbound BNE-PER sector. I flew on a Friday that day and can confirm the next flight to BNE was an A330 operated flight. PER to SYD is a very high demand route but PER to MEL seems to be more popular and yes if VA had a couple extra A330's, it would be better for both the company's supply and demand as well as passenger comfort and experience. This flight was almost full, with about 6 seats remaining from what I can remember. The first flight of the day, you would expect it to be near full, and especially on a Friday morning.
@LukeCrisp5 жыл бұрын
Makes sense. I would supposed passengers are also more inclined to travel mid afternoon rather than early morning on weekends as well. Even with 6 seats remaining on the 737, that would mean about 100 free seats on the a330... I am sure they have it tuned to a fine art! Fuel economics, S&D etc. Come to think of it, I flew a VA flight PER - SYD in 2015 which was operated by an A330. The flight felt less than half full and you could pretty well walk all over the economy area and sit where you liked after takeoff.
@deltaalphaaviation15 жыл бұрын
@@LukeCrisp As more and more people discover that they can have better value for money and a more comfortable flight experience on the A330, they will be more inclined to select flights operated by this aircraft and the flights eventually fill up. Subject to change during certain seasons and peak periods of course

great review thanks for the info on the economy x as I was wondering whether an extra $60 is worth it -- seems somehow justifiable for perth-brisbane
@deltaalphaaviation15 жыл бұрын
Thankyou!! Economy X is a good option if you are concerned with legroom and recline levels and on a flight from Perth to Brisbane on a 737 aircraft, it does get quite squishy. If you book your flight in advance and opt for economy X, it will be cheaper than booking it closer to your desired departure date. If you sign up to a frequent flyer program, it will certainly help out when you use points + pay!! :)

Awesome video. I believe compared Virgin and Qantas on domestic flights, Virgin is much better. What do you think?
@deltaalphaaviation15 жыл бұрын
thanks my friend! That is debatable, as usually Virgin's prices are cheaper most times of the year compared to Qantas but Qantas dominates in the comfort and quality of the economy product. I haven't flown Qantas for years but I hear they have updated their A330 domestic economy product and maybe in the upcoming months I will make a new review and hopefully come up with a decision :D
