Succes. Trouwens, 'diensttijd' is a compound of 'dienst' (service) and 'tijd' (time) so you write it with two t's. And the 'ie' in Dutch isn't pronounced as I in 'ice' (for this we use either ij or ei) but as EE in 'sleep' Deensttijd 4:16

You're understanding of MBO, HBO, and WO is very good! MBO is indeed the most practical school we Dutchies have. A lot of MBOers will become "blue collar workers", working jobs like electricians, plumbers, etc. However, there are also MBO studies where people focus on accountancy, or even law. HBO is between MBO, and WO, just like you said. I don't really have anything to add. WO is what is known as university in most countries. We also call it "Universiteit", which means university. Like you said, it is really theoretical. This is where our future lawyers, doctors, GP's, are studying. But even here, you can still study Accountancy. So, basically, you can study almost every field in either MBO, HBO, or WO, and like you said, MBO is normally the "lowest" or most practical school, whereas WO focusses more on theory, and research. Keep up the good work, Tea!

I remember that you said that the method of learning by applying dictation is 4 times more efficient than other methods. What is your opinion about that method after this past period of learning a foreign language? Also, do you have other tips (e.g daily routine, what to consume, how to listen, ...) about learning a foreign language for someone who is already at an low intermediate level.

@@davidgardian7096 Dictation is highly effective for listening and interpreting conversations. Three months ago, I couldn’t even grasp the gist of most discussions but now I confidently understand 80% of daily conversations, with improved pronunciation as a bonus. To challenge myself further, I focus on news topics beyond everyday conversations. For post-A2 tips, practice speaking actively. For example, if I need to buy a fish fillet for sashimi, I prepare questions using Google Translate while standing in line. This allows me to try new phrases and start conversations in dutch. Examples could be “ met welke saus zou je dit aanbevelen” “wat zijn de beste vissen voor sashimi-doeleinden”

3:46 In dutch, if you start the sentence with an adverb (bijwoord), the verb immediately follows after, even if before the subject. This would make it: Vandaag regent het buiten. Not: Vandaag bet regent buiten. This sentence is also fine: Het regent buiten vandaag (Here the usual word order is retained as the adverb 'vadaag' is not the first word) But also don't do: Het regent buiten vandaag (It sounds a bit unnatural)
@wqltr1822
@wqltr1822 29 күн бұрын
I just found a way to explain the last one. On one of the websites you were looking at it said 'adverb of time + adverb of manner + adverb of location', 'vandaag' is an adverb of time and 'buiten' is an adverb of location. That is why 'Het regent buiten vandaag' sounds weird
@Cranberryjyice
@Cranberryjyice 28 күн бұрын
So since vandaag is an adverb, het regent(verb) immediately has to follow after.
